Re: Official 2015 Hoiberg NBA Speculation Thread

You are good. I figured I would go by what he and George are saying, since they actually know, and talk to the man. They could be wrong, but I'll trust them over any Chicago or NBA source.

Re: Official 2015 Hoiberg NBA Speculation Thread

My source said Fred told him he was coming back. A source who actually knows Fred and has talked to him since his surgery.

  4. Re: MONDAY MUSINGS: Transfer rules, hoops schedule notes

They are both student athletes Chris. There's the similarity.

Why make a student sit in college for another year(deny their right to make money) when freshman don't have to redshirt?

    Good...
  5. Re: MONDAY MUSINGS: Transfer rules, hoops schedule notes

It's all about the student athlete. Is it not? :jimlad:

Seriously though, if they are so worried about academics, maybe all of those 5 star freshman that go to KU, UK and Duke need to sit out...

You were in jail? You must be some kind of thug. Can't believe anybody even hired you after that. :jimlad:
  8. Re: News release: Hoiberg to undergo open heart surgery

No kidding. He probably has the top heart surgeon in the world doing the procedure. Also, probably has the 3rd or 4th best heart surgeon in the world assisting. The Mayo Clinic is unbelievable.

Re: Giorgos Talmpouris the next Kaminsky?

Unless we land Diallo or some other big, he will probably see a lot more time this winter. I think he has a lot of potential, so I'm kind of excited to see what he can do, but not expecting TOOOO...

Re: Will next year be the last year in KC?

Nope. It's downtown in the West End. Downtown Dallas does indeed suck. Ft. Worth Would be better (if they had an arena for it). DFW is a suburb metroplex.

    It would be incredibly stupid...

Re: One thing is very obvious...

Michigan State and Wisconsin know how to play great defense. They can rebound, and they are both mentally tough teams. Big 12 teams rely too much on offensive flow, jump shots and transition,...

Re: One thing is very obvious...

completely agree. Kansas could probably say the same thing over the last 2-3 years. ISU and KU were pretty soft and it bit them both in the a@@.

I like Hoiberg, but maybe he should invite...
  13. Re: NCAA no longer granting immediate eligibility waivers for four-year transfers

Uh, how do transfers hurt college basketball? (Mr. Rothstein) Oh, wait, I forgot, it;s not about the student athletes. :twitcy:

Re: If OU and WV both win next week

The ACC has been the best conference all season, and they're proving it in the tourney. The Big 12 might be the second best (depth), but they really need to become a more physical conference and...

Re: Niang & McKay 2nd Round NBA?

no kidding. Bird is 2-3 inches taller than Niang, was much more athletic, a lot tougher, a lot smarter, and could play every position. Nothing against George, but Larry Bird was a beast.

Re: Niang & McKay 2nd Round NBA?

Nobody from Iowa State is going to get drafted this year. McKay might get drafted next year. He's only 6'9 (not 6'10,6'11 or 7'0). He doesn't shoot from the outside, he gets pushed around...
