Re: Official 2015 Hoiberg NBA Speculation Thread

But his contact said different, as did his comments about the NBA being what he focuses on.

Re: Official 2015 Hoiberg NBA Speculation Thread

You are struggling. Take your pills to clear your depression and hopefully your comprehension improves.

Fred clearly knows and respects the program much greater than you. He knows the program will...

Re: Official 2015 Hoiberg NBA Speculation Thread

Get a grip. Only bluebloods don't lose coaches. You know what Fred and his family know about ISU MBB? That him leaving will be overcome. That every coach except one in the past 30 years has had...

Re: Official 2015 Hoiberg NBA Speculation Thread

I wouldn't expect This to say otherwise.

All this talk about what was said about dreams is silly. Fred always was an NBA guy that loved ISU, but had no college coaching experience. It is likely...

Wasn't UW's class mostly instate kids?
TJ couldn't even get a Horizon Conference gig right now.

You would be a great mentor for Fred.

Re: Official 2015 Hoiberg NBA Speculation Thread

You are nuts. A former player and assistant GM knows exactly what he is "having to deal with".

I get it we all want Fred to stay, but some of you are really grasping. Fred is an NBA guy. That is...

Re: Thoughts on JP and Fred

I can only hope the next coach, whenever that may be, is as successful in doing so. Sign me up for the swap of the best run in ISU history for them moving on after 5 years.

Re: REPORT: Alvin Gentry, not Fred Hoiberg, favorite to replace Tom Thibodeau

Fred is Iowa State. Very typical in that this is the absolute worst timing for ISU MBB, but if he leaves I can't really feel anything other than tremendous gratitude for all he has done. ISU MBB will...

Re: Eastern Illinois Transfer Chris Olivier

You can do better than this.

There was a need for another good forward with some size last year and that need has done nothing but increase. A guy like Harris would play a lot, maybe even start...

Re: Eastern Illinois Transfer Chris Olivier

Limited minutes? There are plenty of minutes available for a high level big guy. For the Edozie, glue-guy types, there are always just glue-guy minutes.

    Re: Providence Transfer Tyler Harris

Which only means the we had sizeable roster holes and needs last year. Minus 2 players and the need is even bigger for next year.

Last year even with Hogue and BDJ we needed another pg or at least...

    Re: Providence Transfer Tyler Harris

We need to replace Hogue's and BDJ's minutes, two of our best rebounders, and already were in need of help in the post last year. There are major minutes to be had for a good forward, maybe even a...

    They can?
  16. Re: RECRUITING: Nick Noskowiak commits to ISU (story with quotes)

I think he is a better prospect than Custer. We needed another ball-handler and creator last year. We add Cooke, and maybe Noskowiak can help fill that, although I am not counting on it.
  17. Re: RECRUITING: Nick Noskowiak commits to ISU (story with quotes)

Hope he can get some minutes next year. It will help if he can put on some muscle like Custer, who did a pretty good job at it.
