NBA: Re: *** Official 2015 NBA Playoffs Thread ***

Agree with that. Chris Paul is going to have to be Chris Paul to have a shot at hot Houston.

NBA: Re: *** Official 2015 NBA Playoffs Thread ***

Spurs went down hard like true champions. Likely the end of a great era for the Spurs and the best of this era, Tim Duncan.

Re: This is why the Big 12 is not going to expand

I agree Cincy might not bring the big bucks initially, but I think they have a lot of potential if they were in the Big 12. It would upgrade their prestige in the city and the state, which has a ton...

NFL: Re: ***Official NFL Draft Thread***

Agree, and on a good team as well. With his great hands he should be a good all purpose back.

Re: This is why the Big 12 is not going to expand

True, but if they don't upgrade their talent they will likely lose at least a couple of out of division games, which would keep them out of the play-offs even if they do get incredibly lucky and...
  7. Re: "ISU's Niang says team learned from collapse" - DM Reg.

True, but as fans we also cant' forget about all the fun we had in getting there. I think both the players and fans can learn something from the UAB loss. After the 2nd KU win and 2nd tourney...

Re: This is why the Big 12 is not going to expand

I don't think it's crazy that Nebraska might want to re-join the Big 12 someday. Their Texas recruiting has to be going downhill, and their fans may not stay happy beating the Iowa's and Illinois...
  9. Re: "ISU's Niang says team learned from collapse" - DM Reg.

That may be true but I think it will only add to the team being more intense and focused. Mercer beat Duke in the first round last year and maybe it helped them this year.
  10. Re: "ISU's Niang says team learned from collapse" - DM Reg.

True, you have to look at the whole season. I'm sure we'll have several of what some fans will call "bad losses" next year against Baylor, TCU, or somebody else. I'm sure Duke had a few "bad"...
  11. Re: RECRUITING: Nick Noskowiak commits to ISU (story with quotes)

Nick sounds like a great kid with a lot of potential. With Nick, Jameel, MT and Otz maybe we can convince more great Wisconsin players to prefer Hoiball over Boball.
  12. Re: Mitchell Meyers gives thanks while facing cancer

Thanks for the article. His courage and determination are a great example for players and fans alike. It will be a great day at the Jack when Mitch runs back on the field

    Re: CPR red hot?

Then maybe Briles should get some credit for getting RG3 to come to lowly Baylor and start the ball rolling.

    Re: CPR red hot?

K-State's not in Texas. Maybe I'm more optimistic than some but I believe with the right guy ISU can have a winning football program too. Earl did.

    Re: CPR red hot?

Seneca has always been very complimentary about anything pertaining to Iowa State and why wouldn't he be? He may even be interested in working at ISU in some capacity someday so I wouldn't read too...

I was a little off, he had 200 rushing yards, 40 receiving yards, and 4 td's.

    Re: David Johnson

We didn't handle him too well his junior year either when he put up something like 270 total yards against us in maybe the most dominating performance against us by a running back since Barry...

    Re: CPR red hot?

Earl also ran a decent amount of option with Wayne Stanley and Buddy Hardeman. I think he may have run a split twin back set with Mike Williams and Jim Wingender. Point being, a good coach will...

    Re: CPR red hot?

Wow, I don't think most fans and recruits are going to consider a 3-9 or 4-8 year a "good" season, no matter how bad we've been the last couple, and it would very likely lead to an attendance drop...

    Re: Athletic Facilities Master Plan

It's nice to think about a bigger pressbox, more suites, etc, but I have to think the primary concern right now is seeing how the coaching situation plays out. If CPR has to go it will take big...
