  1. Re: Wisconsin, Oklahoma to begin home-and-home series

JO played both Indiana (1990) and Minnesota (1990 and 1992) in Hilton well after the establishment of Hilton Magic.
  2. Re: Wisconsin, Oklahoma to begin home-and-home series

Do you know this for a fact? I'd be curious to know which major schools ISU has approached regarding a home-and-home over the last five years and been turned down.

Re: Your strategies to improve game-flow

First, I disagree with your "the game would be ruined" assertions. Secondly, I guess it comes down to philosophical views regarding competition, and how victory in a competition is awarded. To me,...

Re: Your strategies to improve game-flow

Fouls aren't a desired part of basketball. That's why they are penalized in the first place. Dribbling and shooting are desired aspects of the game. Strategy that utilizes an undesirable action...

    Re: 30-second Shot Clock "Likely"

I'm sure the TV execs would like everything to fit into nice time windows, but it would also be interesting to know whether the viewing fans (casual or hardcore) are starting to show "displeasure"...

Re: Your strategies to improve game-flow

Probably true. For me personally, the fouling has gotten out of control. It's an undesirable aspect of the game (or it wouldn't be penalized in the first place), yet coaches use it to gain...

Re: Your strategies to improve game-flow

My problem with a straight run-off would be something like this...the trailing team is pressing for a 10-second violation and commits a legit foul after playing 7-8 seconds of good defense. It seems...
  9. Re: Wisconsin, Oklahoma to begin home-and-home series

Because Kruger wants to play that level/profile of competition???

Has ISU been pursuing that level of competition?

    Re: 30-second Shot Clock "Likely"

For me personally, two hours for a MBB game is plenty long, especially with many of the weekday games starting at 8:00 PM.

    Re: 30-second Shot Clock "Likely"

I agree completely with this, and it needs to be fixed. The refs play right in to the Rick Barnes type foul-a-thon strategy. Also, I'd like to see some additional deterrents to the hacking strategy...

I don't recall the specific model of phone used in the show, but most carriers still offer a basic bare-bones flip-phone. We moved our land-line to cell, and use a simple flip-phone for that line. ...

Lennon makes a "data shows" statement. I'd be curious to see what the data shows. What % of those "transferring" (and do you really transfer when you go to graduate school???) from undergraduate to...
