    Re: Faster Offense?

Basically a 'quick' set is known as 'first' tempo, and is generally shorter and tighter to the net. The purpose is indeed to make it tougher for blockers to close and seal the block. For the most...

    Re: Spring game

Ice only had about 7 or 8 of the players there, including three ISU kids. Kristen Hahn played, who is not listed on their roster.

I'm pretty sure I've seen a quote on this site from Geno A. that their scout team would crush his girls if they unshackled them.
  11. Re: Congrats ladies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great win over BU

I was shocked by this as well. Not buying KM's explanation either. Every team has a visual signal to foul at the end of the game. Cripes, I had one when I was coaching freshman girls' BB. Kim was...

I'm just glad Amber Battle can't shoot a lick. She is an amazing athlete. Can't believe how smooth and quick she is.

From CJL's comments - sure sounds like they are thinking about her at outside hitter.

    Re: Around the Big 12

We have discussed this many times on these pages. Even had high hopes last year with the "freedom of movement" guidelines - indicating that more fouls should/would be called. But, just as we feared,...

Re: Redshirting a possibility for Buckley

The only fly in this ointment is that WBB players quite often graduate in four years, and unless they are interested in grad school - the 5th year is not so attractive to them.

Did anybody else notice that the color analysts' keys to the game listed Baylor and "Norfolk State?"
