Re: Other Tournament Games of Interest

Now down 15 with 8 minutes left. Quite a run for Dayton, but it would have taken a minor miracle (ok, MAJOR miracle) to win this game.

Dayton 99, @Kentucky 94. I know I'm rooting for Dayton to keep this run going.

    Re: *** IOWA STATE v. DAYTON ***

I'm high on Bry, but I think that statement is a reach.

Welle as a freshman: 10.9 ppg, 6.8 rpg, 58.0% FG
Bry this season: 9.0 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 44.3% FG

Bry's FG% goes up to 51.3% if you only...

    Re: *** IOWA STATE v. DAYTON ***

I get your point, but I think that's a bit harsh. Fallon has won games for us this season, and Baier was playing ok last season before her ACL. I'd consider both at least "servicable". If you are...

    Re: *** IOWA STATE v. DAYTON ***

I'm just glad neither Ricketts or Buckley are out with an ACL. You just don't know how a kid will come back from that. Instead, it's a fractured wrist and a stress injury, neither of which should...

    Re: *** IOWA STATE v. DAYTON ***

Doesn't help that we lost two potential starters at the beginning of the season.

We're getting a great recruiting class PLUS Ricketts and Buckley. The only question is who will step up to take...

    Re: WBB NCAA Selection Monday

Fortunately, this team is quite a but better than that one. It's just that the offense can look like that one when things aren't going well.

This team is capable of putting together a big run. That's what we need right now, obviously.

Fouls or not, Moody need to play the whole second half (barring a foul-out)

    Re: *** IOWA STATE v. DAYTON ***

Neither team is playing stellar defense. The Ellis and Fernstrom combo worked pretty well until, you know, fouls. Dayton has a nice offense.

Durr is the only player we have not named Moody that can really create a shot from nothing. I'm looking forward to three more years of her.

With that height, we may see Bry and Fallon on the court together at times.

Re: WBB - Recruits state tournaments

Hopkins cruised into tomorrow's final with a 64-33 win. Starks scored 16 points on 4-5 shooting (8-9 FT) with 2 assists, one turnover, and 5 rebounds. She only played 19 minutes, as both teams...

As has been mentioned before, Nikki's year is reminiscent of Lindsey Wilson's senior year. She's getting a lot of stats, but it's coming at the expense of the team. When our most dangerous...

    I wouldn't mind that. Beat a 5 and a 4 to get to the sweet 16? Sure.

    Re: WBB NCAA Selection Monday

Of note: ISU is generally projected to be a 10 or 11 seed. Louisville (most likely a 2 seed but could be a 3) cannot host. If we are a 10-seed in their subregional, we would have to play a 7-seed...

    WBB NCAA Selection Monday

Tonight's the night we find out if we're going dancing. I'm pretty nervous about it, even though everyone seems to be projecting ISU to be in.

On a related note, Georgia's Andy Landers announced...
