I'm really excited about Flaming Lips and Jenny Lewis. I really would like to go to this - but it's definitely not cheap.

    Re: "Free range" kids

I know that's true, but I feel like it's more under my control than a car crash. It's not hard for me to just go outside and chat with the neighbors while she runs wild on her swingset, you know? I...

    Re: "Free range" kids

I maybe have seen too many episodes of SVU, but my 4 year old isn't even allowed in our yard by herself. Too many abduction cases these days.

    Re: Favorite WWII Movies

It showed his depth of heart as a character. I love comparing that with when he beamed Stillwell Angel with the baseball mitt. Both great scenes.

    Re: Favorite WWII Movies

In the mid-90s, his movies were great. I don't like his trend of trying to make the endings ridiculous lately, though. I get he goes for shock value, but come on, let's try something new.

    Re: Favorite WWII Movies

The first 2/3 are great. The end is asinine.

    Re: Interesting Marriage Proposals?

My husband's proposal indirectly involved the Ames dress dude, on a similar note.

We were eating at Lucullan's (back when it was good) for our anniversary. Janny was acting a tiny bit nervous,...

Re: Friday OT #2 - Shows That Went On Too Long

Speaking of CBS comedies - I haven't seen all of the episodes or anything, but Everybody Loves Raymondhad the same problem at the end that Scrubs did -all of the characters became cartoons of their...

Re: Friday OT #2 - Shows That Went On Too Long

Oh, I thought of a new one. Family Guy, IMO, shouldn't have come back. It was best before the first ending.
  20. Re: Friday OT #1 - Favorite/least favorite album title(s)

Best: I was going to say "Sticky Fingers," similarly.
