Re: Jamie Pollard's speech at Rotary

If 2 star recruits are all going to turn out like Jake Knott then I guess we should only take 2 star recruits, right? That your advice?
  2. Re: Sat. Games that influence the Big 12 Race and ISU

They ****ed up by putting "One" in there. The whole thing makes sense with the best conference schedule setup in the nation but schools don't want to get rid of tiebreakers.

    I personally would...

Seeding isn't a big deal and that's all tiebreakers are for. Although bragging rights would be cool

    Re: Niang Article

Yeah that is quite the comparison.
  7. Re: Best fans in college basketball...Weakest student section

I'm trying to tell you that while it is a fun exercise, it really isn't going to make a statistical difference.

The only time I think it really matters is when there are really high pressure free...
  8. Re: Best fans in college basketball...Weakest student section

How much do you think a crowd can reduce an opponents FT% from it's average by being very loud vs being silent or not making much noise at all?
  9. Re: Best fans in college basketball...Weakest student section

Nope. We are 2nd in the nation in not allowing FTs when adjusted against field goals attempted.
  10. Re: Best fans in college basketball...Weakest student section

I believe it's a combination of not fouling big men due to our defensive style and the fact that less big men are played against us because of our matchup problems and because teams have to go small...

  13. Re: Best fans in college basketball...Weakest student section

That data shows an enormous amount of randomness. The closest gap in back to back years is the 15 spots between '13 and '14. After that it is 58 spots. The average gap from one year to the next is...
  14. Re: Best fans in college basketball...Weakest student section

    1. It definitely, definitely has nothing to do with the crowd at Hilton.
    2. It probably has something to do with who we play and our schedule.
    3. There is a large amount of randomness.
  15. Re: Best fans in college basketball...Weakest student section

    WHAT DOES IT MEAN THOUGH?!??

  17. Re: Best fans in college basketball...Weakest student section

OP is a jabroni. I'm sorry I have to use such strong language here.
  18. Re: Best fans in college basketball...Weakest student section

It is a statistical fact that home and road teams shoot identical FT percentages over a large sample size. So I guess that makes you Clay Aiken and me....Rueben Studdard?
  19. Re: Best fans in college basketball...Weakest student section

Arizona State is 224th in free throw defense if anyone was wondering.
  20. Re: Best fans in college basketball...Weakest student section

You have got to be kidding me if you think the student section actually effects FT%.
