Thank you, I understand now. I was splitting his redshirt year across school years.

    Re: Deonte Burton

So, the 60+ mid-year transfers are all burning a year of eligibility by transferring at the semester? I just find that really hard to believe! (and 10 minutes of google searching didn't help)

    Re: Deonte Burton

So transferring mid-season burns a full year of eligibility? I don't think so, otherwise McKay would be a Sr this year.

    Re: Deonte Burton

that doesn't make sense. He's played 1.5 years. He'll have 2.5 left, started second semester last year.
  5. Re: PODCAST: What will Jameel McKay bring to the Cyclones?

The reason that Greenberg was wrong on McKay is that he said McKay wouldn't be an "instant impact". He's wrong because McKay DOES have an instant impact is that he does two things no one else on the...

Re: Seth Greenberg: Monte Morris #1 PG

Agreed, 27% isn't what I expect either. He's should be about an 80% FT shooter as well.

The jump in 2PT% is interesting to me, especially since he's taking far more mid-range jumpers than I...

Re: Seth Greenberg: Monte Morris #1 PG

Another thing about Monte, here's his shooting % from FR to Soph years:

    2PT%: 45% to 58%
    3PT%: 41% to 27%
    FT %: 85% to 71%

Re: Seth Greenberg: Monte Morris #1 PG

One of my favorites was the touch pass for a Niang dunk (I think) during the Southern game.

Re: Preview: McKay's time has finally arrived

He had some insane stats at IHCC as well. If I remember correctly, Hogue averaged something like 12 and 5, while McKay averaged 18 and 11.

    Re: Top 10 PGs

Hunter isn't a PG and wasn't on the list. It's Ryan Harrow who Monte destroyed:

    Harrow: 6-22, 12 pts, 0 FTs, 5 assists, 5 turnovers
    Morris: 7-9, 19 pts, 4 FTs, 9 assists, 0 turnovers

    Re: Deonte Burton

For his career he's 8-18 (44%) from 3. For reference Hogue is 25-73 (34%). I'd say he's an unknown from 3, he just hasn't taken many. Frankly he just hasn't played much. He's played more than 22...

    Re: 500th Win at Hilton

They are a horrid defensive team, giving up almost 50% of their opponents missed shots as offensive rebounds and giving up almost 60% EFG%. They've given up 100 4 times, to Indiana, TCU, Tulane and...

    Re: 500th Win at Hilton

MVSU is just below Southern this year, both in the bottom 15 according to KenPom. Of course, Southern played is tough as well.

    Re: 500th Win at Hilton

Here's what I came up with, I may be off one or two since I counted off the schedules:

    Orr:152-44 (77.6%)
    Floyd:50-15 (76.9%)
    Eustachy: 72-14 (83.7%)
    Hoiberg: 67-10 (87.0%)

    Re: 500th Win at Hilton

So, New Years eve against MVSU should be the 500th win in Hilton and Hoiberg's 100th win! Big night to end the year!
