  1. Re: Big 4 Classic Extended Through 2017 (and sold out this year)

We have won 5 NCAA tournament games to their 2 since '05. We made the second round in '05, '12, and '13 and the Sweet 16 last year.

But we can all compare this to Iowa who hasn't won an NCAA...
  2. Re: Big 4 Classic Extended Through 2017 (and sold out this year)

Someone correct me if I am wrong but I don't think either of these are true. They lost in the first round in '05, '06, and '09 and made the Sweet 16 in '10.

Not saying your overall point isn't...

Yeah the metro area is closer to 600,000.
  4. Re: Big 4 Classic Extended Through 2017 (and sold out this year)

I think you'd be surprised. Both years when I have went there are a lot of your general fans from the four universities. Attendance never looked as good because a pretty high percentage of fans...

    Re: Fred - No Tie?

It was a motivational tactic before the Lamar game I almost guarantee (the three assistants didn't wear a tie either) and Fred stuck with it tonight. Likely something about coming out fighting or a...

    Re: Iowa @ North Carolina

I'm not sure I would say retain (last two years have been a tie) but it does guarantee the Big 10 will win this for the fourth time in sixteen years.

Re: TCU and Baylor both in CFB Playoffs?

My answer to that is in post #14, I think it would be Alabama, Oregon, TCU, and Baylor. With a slight chance they take FSU over one of the Big 12 teams.

Re: TCU and Baylor both in CFB Playoffs?

    Things we know for sure:
If Alabama, Oregon, or FSU win they are in the playoffs.

    Things that are highly likely:
If FSU loses they will drop below the other one loss teams.

    Things that are...

Re: TCU and Baylor both in CFB Playoffs?

If TCU and Baylor win plus two of Oregon, FSU, or Ohio St. lose they have a high chance of both getting in, otherwise it seems pretty unlikely. If Alabama loses they will likely find a way to take a...

    Re: Nice job volleyball ladies!

Yep, that's why we needed to get to the 11-13 range to get a seed likely. We just weren't going to hold onto one at an RPI of 15 when they looked at conference strength and other factors.

    Per...

    Re: Nice job volleyball ladies!

In the final RPI of the regular season that the committee used, we were 15th. So not too surprising we weren't seeded, we would have likely needed to be in the 11-13 range to get a 15 or 16 seed...

Thanks for posting the link to the contract in its entirety. I hadn't found it before, only articles summarizing it. There are two key things that stick out for me. First, the clause about the...

    Re: VB @ Kansas

The volleyball selection committee in past years has been really RPI centric. If we win tonight and hold serve at home we are looking at an RPI in the 12-14 range on selection day. I can't remember...
