    Re: WBB signing day

I don't trust ESPN rankings at all. They bought out Hoopgurlz and then gutted it. I believe prospectsnation.com is the former Hoopgurlz staff.

Re: Nikki Moody returns to team

Moody will start Sunday, per Fennelly. This is a good sign that she's turned things around.

    WBB signing day

So far, Burkhall and Carleton have officially signed. Starks is apparently having a signing ceremony at some point today.
  6. Re: Twister Sister Summ...ah crap...it was yard work day!

Bremer, who was a pretty good PF the prior season, transferred away. Kate Bauman, who had redshirted the prior year for medical reasons, also transferred away.

That team is the only sub-.500 team...
  7. Re: Twister Sister Summ...ah crap...it was yard work day!

I wouldn't say it was a bit of a question mark. I'd say it was a HUGE question mark. The 08-09 team had five players who played the 4/5: Wieben, Anderson, Nisleit, Ross, Arlen. The first four all...

    Re: Moody suspension

Additional detail: It sounds like Sunday will be the end of her suspension, but she will not start right away and will have to earn her spot in the starting lineup.

    Re: Moody suspension

Bill said today that the meeting with Moody went well. She will return to practice, although she will not play Sunday.

EDIT: beat to the punch by JerseyGirl :)

    Re: Moody suspension

I think (although I can't speak for him) that he's saying that Moody IS Bill's problem.
  12. Re: Twister Sister Summary - Observations from an exhibition blowout.

There are a lot of Jensen comments here. I'm also high on her and also hope she can crack the rotation. We saw how many fouls the freshman posts picked up relatively quickly -- we'll need to have a...
  13. Re: Twister Sister Summary - Observations from an exhibition blowout.

I think Durr made a lot of mistakes on defense, but nothing that isn't fixable. She has a very high defensive upside due to her length. I thought she played very well otherwise.
  14. Re: Twister Sister Summary - Observations from an exhibition blowout.

Technically medical hardship applications don't happen until eligibility (not counting the extra year) has been exhausted, iirc. She's definitely eligible for one.

Re: WBB: Three things to watch for in exhibition

I thought we definitely looked better when Bell was playing point and Buckley was playing 2 guard. I don't know if that'll remain true when we start playing real teams, though.

Re: WBB: Three things to watch for in exhibition

Our defense probably shouldn't be letting up as many points as we are. I'm not too concerned though. With the line changes we are making, mistakes will happen.

And she comes up limping right after I say that. Seems not serious.

Re: WBB: Three things to watch for in exhibition

I think, if we really wanted to, we could just run Johnson in isolation as our entire offense and win by 40. They can't stop her when she drives.

Re: WBB: Three things to watch for in exhibition

After a sluggish start, the rest of the half went quite well. There were still plenty of mistakes, but the team got out in transition quite a bit more and William Penn couldn't really defend it...

Re: WBB: Three things to watch for in exhibition

That was a nice 4-minute segment. Each freshman post has made a nice lefty hook so far in this game. We've missed some open shots, or the margin would be wider. The defense is doing pretty good,...
