Re: The blood is in the water

They dont fall out of trees, or crawl out of a grave, as is the case with Snyder.

Re: The blood is in the water

It would be wrong because of all the other sports. I am a basketball first fan, so I wouldn't want to see us go to a lesser conf. Unless you mean going to the Big Ten. I would consider that. However,...

Re: Where are they now? Julius Michalik

The article is great but the video is even better. I hadn't seen that before. Love that Murph was the one interviewing Johnny. There have been many classic Johnny interviews by Murph over the years.
  6. Re: MONDAY MUSINGS: If Rhoads has future, he needs public backing from AD

With the guys we have coming back and the young guys coming up the ranks, I think we can get to 6 wins next year. For sure! BUT....that hinges on Rhoads minimizing attrition and getting guys to take...
  7. Re: MONDAY MUSINGS: If Rhoads has future, he needs public backing from AD

I think next year could be better, but Rhoads is going to need to keep players here and keep them bought in. His leadership in the off season will determine his future in Ames.
  8. Re: MONDAY MUSINGS: If Rhoads has future, he needs public backing from AD

Found myself wondering this same thing. I thought the players loved Rhoads. Sure doesn't appear that way on Saturdays as of late.

Re: A realistic look at Iowa State football

Agree thus far. But I do think he needs another year tho before the ruling is decisive , one way or the other. Can't judge him fully on year one. We have shown flashes too. Texas game being one.

    Re: JP and hard choices...

I think his speech on the refs after OSU was a moment where he gave Rhoads a vote of confidence. He doesn't do that unless he fully plans on bringing Rhoads back. Imo

Re: My thoughts on Iowa State Football...

I feel like we have recruited well enough at skill positions. QB maybe withstanding. Both lines need some work though. That's the glaring thing. Especially d line. Gotta shore up the attrition too.

Agree. I'm all for giving rhoads another year. Let's see what happens in a season that I think could be good for us. Depending on injuries, jucos, etc.

You have to take Mangino's stints in Manhattan and Norman as OC into account as well. He was instrumental in the rise of KSU along side Snyder. And he was OC at Okie for Stoops' only national title.

Re: Worst team in a major conference?

I agree on the defensive thing. A lot would depend on the progress of Seely, etc. But yeah, we are splitting hairs here. We are bad. Those aforementioned teams are bad. And Fred is awesome. Carry on.

Really? Didn't we beat Iowa in Kinnick? But yet we couldn't beat those other big ten bottom feeders? I think maybe you are delusional.

Re: Worst team in a major conference?

Except, the big ten is a major conf. I think we would fare decently there. We would beat northwestern, illinois, purdue, and rutgers. Oh yeah, and we already beat iowa.
