    Re: Cyclone Comparison Team

I'll try to throw out a few new ones:
    -Hogue - Shawn Marion
    -Morris - Maurice Cheeks
-BDJ - Rockets era Robert Horry
    -Niang - I don't think there's a better comparison than Diaw

    I can't say...

Doxzon stayed at qb all his career at ISU, but switched to WR for the combine.

    Re: SIAP Walters vs. Perrault

I remember the day the Chizik hire was announced. Perrault was still on in Omaha. Perrault was going on about what an unbelievably great hire it was and that Pollard was a genius for pulling off...
  4. Re: Oklahoma's Mike Stoops wants to see lineman downfield rule examined

This is a bad rule, but it will not go anywhere, as it's yet another excuse to give advantage to the offense to appeal even further to dumb fans that can't find enjoyment in a game where there aren't...

    Re: ISU' Defense

Also, the smallish DEs we tend to have are better suited for a 4-3. I think a 3-4 would be good in our conference if we have a few tweeter DE/DT types.
  6. Re: Would Todd Blythe make it in the NFL if he played today?

Once you're at the combine it makes no difference what school you attend. It's been decades since a player's school mattered. Competition matters, but had he done the same things at OU he'd still...

Re: Placing the blame on the defense

Asking a LB to cover a slot is a coaching/personnel mistake. It's tough for me to get on Brackens, as he played very well otherwise last night and has been a monster on special teams.

Re: Placing the blame on the defense

I feel bad for saying it too, but I don't see it either. He's shown some ability to play in space, but I see him run himself out of plays all the time, and KSU, mainly Waters destroyed us by cutting...

Re: TCU might be good in hoops

    1. Nevada - yes, but one good season with a senior laden mid-major team is not all that uncommon. There are usually a couple of these each year.

    2. Stanford - Johnson took over a great program -...

Re: TCU might be good in hoops

It's funny on CF how many people think Johnson's a really good coach. It takes a completely putrid team in major conference ball to not even be sniffing .500, and that's been the case for Johnson.

    Re: Financial Thread

I have some basic pieces of financial advice in addition to budgeting:
    1. Your 401k contribution needs to be at minimum to the point the company match maxes out.
    2. Whether you dump monthly savings...

Re: fire all the coaches v3.0

Chizik deserves zero credit. He recruited a few good players, but was such an awful coach. I've never seen so many pop-warner like blown coverages in my life. Those teams were so ridiculously...

I thought it was a great episode, and the Terminus hipster will be a good antagonist, but I don't like how they felt the need to try squeeze in how they went from regular, good people to psychotic...

Re: Texas' Game Plan for ISU

We've been OK at picking up blitzes in the middle of the field, but have been hurt by blitzes off the corner. Many times, Sam simply didn't see it.

I agree that we need to take some shots deep. ...

Re: fire all the coaches v3.0

While I've been something of a Rhoads apologist, and still have hope Rhoads can get us to what I consider a realistic ceiling (6-7 wins typical, with the stars aligning every few years to get 9...

    Re: Dan Mullen on Gameday

I don't disagree, I don't blame people for not showing up to a game like mizzou, and I think we have sold tickets at or better than our product on the field for quite some time. I was more...

    Re: Dan Mullen on Gameday

This is correct. The great fans thing in football is a recent phenomena. Until then, we had tailgate fans that occasionally took part in some football viewing. We may have sold some tickets, but...
