Re: New 2015 Offer? Isaiah Moss

Rhode Island has some intriguing former ISU targets on the team too. Jared Terell and Hassan Martin.

Poll: Re: What would YOU be satisfied with?

Like others have said, the NCAA Tournament is pretty much a crap shoot. But, I can't help but really want to keep building on last year and make the Elite Eight. Truly anything past the second...
  3. Re: College Sports Madness .com - Rankings and Bracket Projections

Picking Daniel Edozie to be one of our starters doesn't really scream credibility, especially with the low ranking.

Re: Hallice Cooke to have surgery...

Since it's something he's been dealing with for a while I imagine this was planned. Similar to Darien Williams and his shoulders.

Re: New 2015 Offer? Isaiah Moss

I'm not talking about averages. Are you saying Woodbury hasn't shown any development/improvement under Fran? So Woodbury would've been capable of putting up 16 and 8 against an NBA frontcourt his...

Which ones has he lined up? Hopefully ISU is the 5th.

Re: New 2015 Offer? Isaiah Moss

Against Illinois he put up 11 in a half. Yes, in some of his games Woodbury showed flashes of dominance. I know I know, flashes, but he was only a sophomore and big guys tend to develop slower. To...

Re: New 2015 Offer? Isaiah Moss

He had 16 and 8 while shooting over 72% from the field against one of the best frontcourts in the country in Tennessee in the PIG. You're telling me that isn't improvement over where he started as a...

Re: New 2015 Offer? Isaiah Moss

Hutton and Fleming are good prospects, and Wagner must be a great athlete if he's being looked at by P5 schools as a WR. Looking back on their recruiting rankings you wouldn't have expected Devyn...

Re: New 2015 Offer? Isaiah Moss

Look at some of his games from later in season. He dominated at times which was something we hadn't seen from Woodbury ever. There was definite improvement in his game as the year went on.

Re: New 2015 Offer? Isaiah Moss

Woodbury looked dominant at times late last year. I wouldn't be surprised if he takes a decent step forward this season. Considering that sophomore slumps are a thing, it's hard to determine player...

Re: New 2015 Offer? Isaiah Moss

From an Iowa State fan perspective Fran hasn't developed his players. But remember that high school recruits don't look at things that way and that recruiting is all about spinning. I guarantee you...

Re: New 2015 Offer? Isaiah Moss

Player development is one of the things Fran has done well. And Marble in the NBA gives him an easy example of it.

Re: Top Double-Double Machines in 2014-2015

Percentage-wise, yes Ejim and Hogue were comparable 3 point shooters last year. However, there's a reason Ejim took a lot more shots: Fred had plays to get Mel a 3 but not Hogue. The reason for that...

Unless you count Thomas (top 50ish) then Craig Brackins.
  19. Re: What does the "new" Georges Niang bring to the court?

There's literally nothing to worry about with this. Georges will still be playing around 225-230 so he isn't small now by any stretch of the imagination. Plus, any advantage lost by the decreased...
  20. Re: Preseason USA Today Coaches Poll released tomorrow

They play SMU a week and a half before us. If they pick up that win on the road they should be ranked by the time they come to Ames. That'd be a nice boost for our non conference resume.
