  1. Re: What can we do to increase media attention?

Amen. No further action is required ... the point was effectively made by someone who had the authority to make it. Let's not diminish it.
  2. Re: Deadspin: Proves ISU is Right Where They Should Be.

Wow, that's an eye opener ... to the extent that statistics can tell generalized truths. Our staff doesn't do more with less, nor does it do less with more.

    Re: Non-conference Scheduling

When the second wimpiest kid on the playground taunts the first, they both look foolish. Better to be silent and improve, imo.

    Re: Non-conference Scheduling

Given last year's performance, I'd think we ISU fans need a bit more humility. Who are we to call out other teams?

Re: fire all the coaches v3.0

Well, then, I got nothing. If we cannot bring up losses or critique factual and perpetual under performance of the program, there's really not much to keep the conversation going.

    Anybody...

Re: fire all the coaches v3.0

Things are the same. PR is not a transformative coach. Its at least as likely that the program will get worse as it is that it will improve. Do we settle?

    Re: enCYCLONEpedia; Baylor blabberings

The sense of resignation in this post would be startling at other places, yet its the norm for ISU football.

And don't treat 2013 like some kind of accident. That was the fruit PR's vision ... his...

    Re: enCYCLONEpedia; Baylor blabberings

You agree everywhere it matters. By your admission, Rhoads sold hope for his first couple of years (most new coaches do this), and then did not deliver. IMO, 2012 was the most disappointing given the...

    Re: enCYCLONEpedia; Baylor blabberings

The irony of looking forward to wrestling is not lost on me in light of recent years. The difference, however, is that ISU wrestling has a long history of national and individual championships, and...

Re: We rank 122 of 124 teams in total offense

Paul Rhoads is poison to offensive football. He is also a primary source of offensive football.

    Re: enCYCLONEpedia; Baylor blabberings

We've been "building towards year X" forever. Maybe some ISU fans will hang no matter what and support a coach/program over and above its glaring deficencies. I thought I was one of them. Turns out...

    Re: The game winning drive

Sure, it could have gone lots of ways. What matter is how it DID go. Personally, I thought a pass play would have been a good call in the last set of downs, but who really cares.

Re: Markus Simmons commits to ISU

Very encouraging news. Congrats to the staff for reeling this one in ... and congrats to the newest cyclone. Here's to competing for championships!
  14. Re: Jevohn Miller: "I just can't lead by example anymore"

MLB seems like a more natural fit for him, anyway. His weakness has always been playing in space where he got out of position. The Middle is more delimited and straight ahead in that sense. Plus, he...

    Re: Comparing ISU and Iowa

From what I've seen of the NCAA and sports networks, an undefeated B10$$$$ team would never get left out of the playoffs.

Would that be a smart thing to do? Yes. Is ISU capable of doing it? That remains to be seen.

Peterson's anointing Campos a future pro seems a bit presumptuous, don't you think?

Re: OL Jacob Gannon has left the ISU program

Be careful what you wish for. He may be swallowing a lot of bile related to the state of the program by limiting his comments to "i'm burnt out." Would you rather have him air a list of grievances?...
