    MLB: Re: 2014 Chicago Cubs

Still have to work out a deal. But if they don't the Rockies can pick him up for free...so I would imagine a deal will get done. Crazy that the lowly Rockies could have had him for nothing and didn't...

    MLB: Re: 2014 Chicago Cubs

Same thought has crossed my mind. Does the kid have some work to do, yes. But keep in mind this kid was the youngest player in AAA, he has some time to develop. He has already been improving as the...

    Re: Hallice Cooke

Pretty sure it means he would go 894/895 on his senior season from downtown. His sole miss would a full court heave that hangs on the rim for 12 seconds before falling out due to the collective...
  4. Re: *** Official Iowa State at Kansas State Game (Day) Thread ***

Yep. Kane and Ejim tried to will it, but it didn't happen. Missed some bad free throws, but Long and Thomas were a combined 0-11 on the night. They convert on four of those, which is a very realistic...

Re: USA - Canada Women's Gold Medal game

Yeah, she is stacked. That 172 pounds is muscle as she is ripped. She is quickly becoming the premiere women's hockey player. If the US had one or two more of her they would be untouchable.

    What...

Re: USA - Canada Women's Gold Medal game

She has great speed and strength...for a woman. She has no backhand and couldn't touch collegiate hockey against men, let alone the NHL. I'm a fan of hers, but not a chance.
  7. Re: Diallo, Davis, Granstaff, Ellenson, Johnson, Wilridge, Illikainen, Ryan

Just wait until he announces he is transferring to Findlay for his senior year.

Re: Rashad Vaughn - Announcing Saturday

Everyone that is hyperventilating, please do me a favor. Stop worrying for a second and hear me out.

We have a man in the program that turned a team around in one year. After that first rough...

Re: Two issues I'd like movie goers to debate

I clap if I enjoy a movie, if it makes sense - like seeing a movie in LA, or an Alexander Payne movie in Omaha. If there is a chance for crew/cast to be there, I'll applaud if it's warranted.But...
  10. Re: ******OFFICIAL IOWA STATE VS KANSAS GAME DAY THREAD******

Impossibly out gunned by a team that lost at home to SD State.

Yep. ISU has given up 4 buckets that were just complete and total laziness and/or pouting on no calls.
  11. Re: ******OFFICIAL IOWA STATE VS KANSAS GAME DAY THREAD******

Really? I don't see it. I see a team that is already defeated. Outside of Kane, and occasionally Hogue, this team is lifeless. They need a spark, as Kane and Hogue can't do this alone.

    Team Conditioning

Been pondering one aspect of the team lately, and I'm curious to get some other opinions on it. That aspect is physical conditioning and manipulating it to our advantage.

    Tired teams get out of...

Likely get ******, later on realizing the situation does look sketchy to an outsider and let it slide. We don't know the entire situation so blanks will be filled.

    Re: Rashad Vaughn

It doesn't. It could very well be a young man trying to do right and steer a younger man down a good path. It is possible.

realistically, I think a more plausible scenario is that this mentor was...

    Nice gear!

Maybe I will get lucky, as my fantasy teams were quite unlucky this weekend.

  18. re: Allen Lazard: "There's some big news coming tomorrow." (and now a Dr.Who Epilogue)

I don't think it's regarding Jones. While I think we can get him, it appears that his decision won't be made for some time now.

Curiosity is piqued, but I can't go through this after sitting...

    Re: Rashad Vaughn

I am my own source. Vaughn is a lock to ISU and he isn't coming alone. And now for the real shocker.

He won't be a one and done. He will play two.

Re: BLOG: The evolution of Rodney Coe

Coe will start. I know we are on the Lazard hype train, and rightfully so, but don't forget the athlete this guy was and is. He was a top 100 player in high school when he chose the hawks over...
