    Re: Lazard

Being a go-to receiver doesn't make one the same type of player as Megatron. You can't be that type of player without having that skill set (or one that's very similar). Lazard doesn't have that, and...

    Re: Lazard

LAWL. First of all, there is, and will always be, only one Megatron. Secondly, Lazard would have to be a first team all-conference type of performer right now to be that kind of player. Johnson tore...

Re: A spider the size of a puppy? Yes please!

Common tarantulas weigh like 2-3 oz. So we're talking twice the size of a normal tarantula. That's pretty ******* big.

    Re: Lazard

This. If Lazard improves in other areas and puts on maybe another 10-15 pounds, a 4.6 would be more than good enough to get drafted.

    Re: Lazard

Because player development isn't a thing? Shonn Greene wasn't a big contributor as a true freshman. Neither was Dallas Clark. Sure glad Iowa was able to quietly push those guys out the door after...

Re: Iowa HS FB -- Week 8

Because Wahlert and Assumption weren't schools that the MVC regularly played against, I would assume, and they blamed the private schools as a whole. Xavier was the only private school in the MVC.

    Re: Lazard

Iowa kids aren't inherently better than kids from other states, no. But I do think the kind of community Lazard grew up in was better for a kid than the communities were for many college athletes....

    Re: Lazard

Lazard's definitely the real deal. And kudos to Mangino for knowing how to get the ball to a dynamic playmaker on the outside. That's a foreign concept to Greg Davis.

Re: Iowa HS FB -- Week 8

I don't know how many picks HD's QB had coming in, but he did throw a pair last night. I can't remember for sure, but I think he got hit as he threw the first one. The second just had no chance of...

Re: Iowa HS FB -- Week 8

I'm really not sold on Xavier as the best team in 3A. Heelan is somewhat of a wild card, since they were expected to be a little down and don't get tested very much out west, but they put a real...

Re: Iowa HS FB -- Week 8

That game was damn good as it was, but it was almost a lot better. If Chandler Diercks doesn't take a kick off back for a touchdown with 30 seconds left in the first half after H-D closed the gap to...

NBA: Re: Blake Griffin writes about Donald Sterling

I was very intrigued by this site's premise when it was first unveiled, and it's blown away all expectations so far.

Re: Iowa HS FB -- Week 8

Dowling vs. CR Wash. Bettendorf is overrated this year, and I don't see Dowling losing to Valley twice.

Re: Iowa HS FB -- Week 8

I'm not saying it won't be a blowout, but 45-10 is a blowout, too. Schools like DSM North, Waterloo East, etc. are the only ones that get beat by 10 touchdowns. Fort Dodge isn't THAT bad.

Fort Dodge isn't terrible. They aren't getting beat by 60+.

Re: Iowa HS FB -- Week 8

Based on what? Their enrollment numbers classify them as 2A for now, and I don't think there's been a public school that ever elected to play up a class, just the private schools that used to be in...
  18. Re: Baylor down 21 and puts the hammer down on TCU....when will our mans get over BU?

You completely ignore the fact that Baylor is in the middle of Texas, which is one of the most football talent-rich states in the country. And if Briles hadn't brought RGIII with him in the coaching...

Re: U of Iowa's new legacy scholarships

Except that ISU's legacy scholarships would actually do more for the public in the state of Iowa, whereas the UI's would do more to help kids from the Chicago suburbs.
