    Re: Cheick Diallo

You know it's really common that recruits where gear from the school they're visiting on officials right?

Re: Top Double-Double Machines in 2014-2015

    In 2012-13 Ejim shot 34.7826% from 3
Last year he shot 34.6457% from 3

Apparently this is another case, where your memory doesn't match up with what actually occurred.

Re: Top Double-Double Machines in 2014-2015

Oh I totally understand what you're trying to say, I just don't buy it.

All that matters is how many buckets fall and how many rim out. The stats don't lie. Hogue was as good of a shooter as Ejim...

Re: Top Double-Double Machines in 2014-2015

Sorry, but the numbers back up my claim and all you have is some bizarre excuse for why the numbers don't back up what the way you remember it.

It was Hogue's first year in the program, with...

Re: sounds like Kevin Ware is hurt again

That sucks for him. I feel bad for kids who have had luck with with injuries and I want them to be at full strength when we play them

Re: Top Double-Double Machines in 2014-2015

Ok, I can agree to that. Throw out FG % because you have dunks/layups, putbacks, bunnies at point blank range.

How do you reconcile that Hogue and Ejim had the exact same 3-pt %? That is a set...

Re: Top Double-Double Machines in 2014-2015

Look at the numbers. I watched every game last year and what you think you remember anecdotally doesn't match up with reality.

    Ejim
    FG's- 220/436 = 50.5%
    3pt- 44/127 = 34.6%

    Hogue
    FG's-...

Re: Top Double-Double Machines in 2014-2015

No, he wasn't, although Ejim took a lot more shots in his defense, but Hogue was very productive in a quite way and had a pretty good FG and a decent 3-pt percentage.

    Now you could easily argue...

Re: Just Think of This Matchup Nightmare

Hopefully we never have to face that "matchup nightmare" in the future.

Re: Malik Dime---Indian Hills (reported UW commit)

I agree, we'll always tighten up our rotation as the year goes on. Hopefully Taslbo can be used as a change up occasionally and average about 5 min/game during conference time. But as you said, any...

OMG his name was spelled wrong!!! OP, I won't be able to sleep until you get this spelling problem under control.

    Re: Malik Dime---Indian Hills

I'm not saying we didn't want him, but we're at a point now, where losing Dime is not a big deal. I seriously doubt that Fred is losing any sleep over this.

I would have liked to keep the IHCC...

    Re: Malik Dime---Indian Hills

Ya, we missed out on depth building with Diallo, but we have all of this year to land a post player for 2016. Our options are:

1- Swing for the fences with Diallo
2- Land a transfer this spring...

    Re: Malik Dime---Indian Hills

I heard the coaches really thought highly of Benjamin. It was Vaughn #1 and Benjamin a close second during the month or two where things were heating up with Benjamin. They thought he was a great...

    Re: Malik Dime---Indian Hills

I can handle that. If he could be a 8, 8 & 2 type player by his senior year, he would be worth it.

    Re: Malik Dime---Indian Hills

Yes, he looks like a very similar player to McKay. High flying dunks and blocked shots. He may not be quite as quick as McKay, but a little thicker.

He would fit in really well with our...

    Re: official Midnight Madness thread

Ha, that's what I thought. When you go to ISU games, it's not like there are a bunch of George Clooney's and Brad Pitt's walking around.

    Re: Malik Dime---Indian Hills

Hopefully Fred's track record with Hogue and (soon to be) McKay will carry some weight.

Dime would likely come off the bench his JR year, with Niang, McKay and Nader still here, but he would...
  19. Re: Fred: "The next banner to drop will be a National Championship banner"

To say something like that you have to believe it and Morgan, Fran etc had/have no reason to think that was possible. Fred saw the last two years how we were playing at the end and he really believes...

Re: So close to being a solid team.

What are you talking about? Texas was as good or better last year and we should have beaten them then too.
