Re: TCU might be good in hoops

There was a time when I thought Texas Tech was going to be lots better this upcoming year as well until they went all West Virginia on us.

I do like this though: 3: The number of times in Fred Hoiberg's four-year tenure at Iowa State that a Cyclone has been named the Big 12 Newcomer of the Year. You can call it lazy, but we'll take the...

    Re: Cheick Diallo

I'm just glad we as a fan base aren't going quite as crazy over the Diallo recruitment as we did the RV one. Overall, I'd like to avoid another instance of this:

Put me in the group that has no clue what Diallo is thinking or who he will choose. All said and done, he's got a large list of schools who all bring different and good things to the table. I'm...

    Re: Interesting Read...sorry if repost

The thing about Trey with this matchup is that you automatically are aware that he knows what he is talking about, especially when it comes to this match-up. I love Trey and thought he did a good...
  9. Re: 2014 Closed Scrimmage: Minnesota Golden Gophers

This guy has Georgia State slated in at #22 in his preseason rankings and is expecting a final 4 run from them:

  10. Re: 2014 Closed Scrimmage: Minnesota Golden Gophers

I didn't necessarily say they were our toughest non-conference opponent for sure, but when all is said and done, they very well could be. Tough to tell right now, especially when we are talking...
  11. Re: 2014 Closed Scrimmage: Minnesota Golden Gophers

Scared about arguably our toughest non-conference opponent? Yeah, I'd say I'm a bit worried, especially with 3 solid contributors sitting on the bench, and would like us to be prepared properly for...

    Re: Potential Transfers '14

Not that we'd take him or even that we have room, but I saw this guy just hit the market. His freshman stats at Loyola Marymount aren't terrible by any means. Marquette seems to be starting a...

Re: Iowa State sweeps South Dakota......but

On the outside looking in right now???? We've currently got an RPI of 24 in a sport where they heavily use RPI for tournament purposes. In fact, I'd say that they use RPI in volleyball maybe moreso...
  14. Re: 2014 Closed Scrimmage: Minnesota Golden Gophers

This is exactly why I say we shouldn't play Nader or Thomas. I also could care less if we win or lose, but would rather prepare for Georgia State.

    Re: The Transfer Hump

It is kind of nice when the NCAA is the bad guy rather than our coaching staff
  16. Re: 2014 Closed Scrimmage: Minnesota Golden Gophers

I sure hope we don't let Nader or Thomas play in this closed scrimmage, not as punishment, but as preparation for the rest of the team in playing the first few games without them. I don't know about...
