    Re: Helping kids with homework

I was fine with proofs in geometry, but oldest son went to a college where the first calculus class involved proof calculus, and it was a good thing he never wanted help with that, yikes.

    If your...

    Re: Helping kids with homework

I always relied on my husband and his physics degree to handle these issues, but when he was away for work, before I went to a frantic text to him on rate change problems, went to Khan Academy. Kids...

You should check out Khan Academy. They have some great videos. Very helpful on a lot of topics, especially math.

    Re: Hilton Madness!!!!!!!

Hoiberg was clearly paranoid about the dunking contest, which was really just doing his job. No way he was letting KJ go over Hogue and he didn't look too enthused about letting him go over the...

    Re: The last 22 seconds.

At the time, it looked like maybe Richardson was thinking of taking Shipley and seemed like Brackens waved him off, or was I just seeing things?

    Re: Hilton Madness!!!!!!!

They said on the radio that the players stayed for three and a half hours. I just had something I wanted Hoiberg to sign, and husband and I were content to sit a while and eat popcorn and listen to...

    Re: ND at FSU

I'm pretty sure if they had video evidence of Jameis murdering someone, Jimbo would still be blabbering about innocent until proven guilty. They both exude sleaze in buckets.
  8. Re: Iowa vs. Maryland, Battle to see who could be 10th place in Big 12

Is that Maryland's third string qb?
  9. Re: Iowa vs. Maryland, Battle to see who could be 10th place in Big 12

Yea, I don't know. When 3rd down play started there were only 10 seconds left in half and they were out of timeouts. Player advanced to yellow line but ball did not, announcer probably made an...
  10. Re: Iowa vs. Maryland, Battle to see who could be 10th place in Big 12

So I have been watching 2 Big 12 games and UCF/Tulane. What's going on in this game, mutual suckage?

(UCF game entertaining, Tulane qb, son of Joe Montana, spiked the ball on 4th down. In his...

    Re: Ames Upscale Dining

So in Clark's world, Aunt Maude's is a steakhouse and Texas Roadhouse is not?

Thanks for the info on Lucullan's guys. Of course I hadn't been there since the 80's. Bar la Tosca? Not a fan of the name.

Is Lucullans gone? I used to go there on Fridays, buy one beer, and eat the free happy hour food for dinner back in the day. Always thought I should go back some time and actually pay for...

    Re: Ames Upscale Dining

Paying for multiple kids in college has kind of taken us out of fine dining. Good to hear Maude's is still great. Maybe we can try +39 when one of the kids lands a big job and takes us out.
