Re: fire all the coaches v3.0

You say "Then in 4 years, when we fire the next guy who can't win here"..so you want to beat people's ***** for getting someone fired who can't win here? If Rhoads can't produce, he can't produce....

Re: fire all the coaches v3.0

AJK was recruited and committed to play at ISU under Chizik..even if CPR retained him..that makes him a Chizik recruit.

I agree with you that it is VERY hard to win at ISU, but why does that mean...

Re: fire all the coaches v3.0

I supposed that I have a different view on our resources. We have some of the best brand new facilities for football in the nation...not just the Big12. We will have the 3rd biggest stadium on the...

Re: fire all the coaches v3.0

    1. AJK committed to Chizik first..he stayed with CPR but Chizik got him.
    2. If you're argument is that the 2009 schedule was easy, then you are discrediting CPR's ONLY WINNING SEASON.

Re: fire all the coaches v3.0

First, I'll say: CPR > Chizik as far as coaching abilities

Yes, Chizik was 5-19. But Rhoads' best years came with almost all of Chizik's recruits. MOST of the really good players that we've had...

Re: fire all the coaches v3.0

Here's the huge difference: We have had something like 22 games in a row with 50,000+ fans in Jack Trice Stadium. Take a look at what our home record is the last 3 years..

    Orr brought people into...

    Re: Brett Medders injury

Good lord. I remember Lawry being a highly recruited prospect but he had 18 BCS offers?
  8. Re: Article on Scherff being ready for the NFL

Tom Farniok doesn't get the attention he probably should. The kid is really, really good. The offense is COMPLETELY different when he is in the game. I notice at the end of that article, McShay...

Re: Column: Don't sleep on Sam

I don't remember blaming Sam for the losses..
I did say he was the QB for all of those losses though.. Two different things.

Re: Column: Don't sleep on Sam

And the fact he never used it as an excuse is even better. I admire the kid for that, just want him to produce some wins!! (PS - I think we win 6 games this year. Yes, I said it.)

This x1000. Great post! Just to say again :) ...I am in favor of Sam too..I agree that the fact that he played so hurt through the year is a sign of toughness and leadership. I just want it to turn...

Re: Column: Don't sleep on Sam

Guys, my intention was never to compare Sam and Grant. My statement was that Sam hasn't won many games. Thats it. Yes, Sam won that game at KU, on the road, with a way more healthy and successful...

I get that. But these guys ARE playing for the same team, not one is better than the other. My issue is how the games are won/loss..Grant bringing us back to win the biggest comeback in school...

Re: Column: Don't sleep on Sam

Good point, very good point. I think we have to legit QB's that could play in the BIG12 this year. That is a GOOD thing. I just want our QB's to step up enough to produce some more wins.

Re: Column: Don't sleep on Sam

No we wouldn't have beaten WVU. Not because of anything other than he was hurt. A healthy Sam could've beaten them maybe but the fact is he hasn't won games like that. That's my whole point. I think...
