  1. Re: Iowa State/Baylor depth chart notables; injury report

Why would you think keeping Myers inside could be a desperation move? He played there against Iowa and looked as good at getting off blocks as anyone.
  2. Re: Iowa State/Baylor depth chart notables; injury report

I would have been surpised if it had been Warren rather than Syria. As Luth pointed out, he has the size to potentially fill a an unmet need.
  3. Re: After seeing OU vs WVU: subtract 1 toss-up game

If conditions are similar to 2012, I think it is still a toss-up regardless of records going into that game.

    Re: Naz

Hopefully so, but in regards to three point shooting, Thomas did not shoot a great percentage in high school. It may not be as simple as him getting his confidence back. IMO he is more of an...
  5. Re: Missouri is gonna lose at home to Indiana

I would love to drop Iowa and play Missouri.
  6. Re: What to watch? Utah/Michigan or Florida/Alabama?

KU-CMU for me. Could this be the last game for Weis?

    Re: BLUM: Rhoad dogs

Yes, coming off a great season, not a 3-9 season that included another beating at the hands of an average FCS team. CPR does not have a sample set that suggests the loss is an aberration. CPR's track...

    Re: BLUM: Rhoad dogs

Tre, when was the last time you did anything but look at the box score?

I love your optimism, but if you watch both games and not just compare box scores, you will see we looked very similar to...

    Re: BLUM: Rhoad dogs

I think you underestimate how much we quit in that game. Weber St played much better than we did against NDSU.

    Re: BLUM: Rhoad dogs

Yes, the passing game is still rather impotent. Improved completion %, yes, for now. Improved passing game, not yet.
    Improved offense? Not yet.

What do the yards/completion and yards/attempt look...

    Re: BLUM: Rhoad dogs

Improvement? That NDSU game was not improvement. The two games since then only look like improvement when next to the regression of the turd that was the NDSU game. We still looked very similar to...

    Re: BLUM: Rhoad dogs

Agree. This year is pretty damn similar to last year. Horrible performance against a FCS school, blowing a game against an uninspired Big 12 opponent. Trouble scoring points. Not getting TOs. A lot...
  15. Re: Bye week MAILBAG: Submit questions here

Given our path to success is being having superior development, did the staff make a mistake in burning redshirts on guys like Morrissey, Miller, and George?

    Re: BLUM: Rhoad dogs

I wish it was only a recruiting issue. When you get curb stomped by two FCS programs in Year 5 and Year 6, you have development issues. Too much attrition and a team full of players failing to make...

    Re: watched it again

Without Bundrage we lost a dimension to complement West. I see a lot of possession receivers (without great hands). IMO it is clear that Nealy and AW are two of our top playmakers, and schematically...
  18. Re: Is the Big ten going to be eliminated from the playoffs in week 2?

The BIG needs to add a couple more TV markets with weak programs and go to an 11 game conference schedule (7 division, 4 cross division). Only one game a year for each team to be exposed, then have...

    Re: watched it again

IMO we should see more snaps with both on the field, especially now that we are down two WRs. Both are very capable receivers out of the backfield, and at the same time help with protection a bit...
  20. Re: Who Should Be Kansas's Next Football Coach?

Gill was a lump sum buyout IIRC, so they would only be paying Weis. A bigger question is do the donors trust Zenger to make another hire after such a huge and obvious miss in Weis?
