A few additional ones at this site...

  2. Re: Amazing real color photographs from 1909, by Russian photographer working for Cza

Could be. Some of the kids look more "in sync" than others, so I thought the kids might be moving around a little bit.

I was wondering why the water in the stream in #3 looked weird (kind of...
  3. Re: Amazing real color photographs from 1909, by Russian photographer working for Cza

Apparently you've missed the plethora of youtube videos from dash cams from cars in Russia. I didn't see any cars with dash cams in those pictures. Also, I didn't see any computer hackers trying to...
  4. Re: Amazing real color photographs from 1909, by Russian photographer working for Cza

Yup. He was taking three pictures in rapid succession with red, green, and blue filters, and on some of the photos, you can see movement between the three pictures (like the kids in # 26).

    Re: Oh Jameis

Ehh...that would be a rather sweeping generalization, and not a particularly good one IMO. Apart from the Aggie fanatics, there's plenty of dislike for Manziel.
  7. Re: After seeing OU vs WVU: subtract 1 toss-up game

Holgersen said at the end of last year that his team just wasn't prepared well enough for the long grind of the Big 12 season, and they would have to prepare differently this year. I guess we'll...

    Re: Oh Jameis

In anticipation of how the game would go, FSU was probably thinking of Clemsoning, and in some kind of Freudian slip, ended up with Clemsonon...

When you have to drag basketball into a football smack thread, it should be obvious that you've got nothing, and it's just time to walk away.

Re: New CR Speed Camera Article/Study

If you don't want to pay that "tax" (which is a silly characterization BTW), then don't break the speed limit. Is this really so difficult to comprehend?
  12. Re: Question for those gifted in the electronics arts

Sorry about the picture..there is a shadow on the bottom. The wires going to the piezo connect to the three solder joints at the very bottom: red/left black/center blue/right. I haven't drawn it...
  13. Re: Question for those gifted in the electronics arts

The output from the controller is just on/off voltage. I was thinking the capacitor probably has to come out, and perhaps one of the BJTs. I've found a few circuit diagrams that only use one BJT...
  14. Question for those gifted in the electronics arts

    Something light for Friday afternoon...

I should have paid better attention in Electronics class, and Googling the Internet hasn't saved me this time...

I bought this piezo buzzer that pulses...

  16. Re: Vikings RB Adrian Peterson indicted on Child Injury charge

Well...the childhood psychologists don't exactly have a great track record over the last half century. If I had "googled" them in the 1950'-80's, they would have deluged me with Dr. Spock's...
  17. Re: BTN does a little recap of your Iowa game ...

It's battle of the wills now...IMO the 14/15-team conferences will eventually become unmanageable, and it's a matter of whether the Big 12 and Pac-12 can hold out until it falls apart for the other...

Re: Anyone ever smoked a bear?

On a serious note, bears carry trichinosis, and folks get sick by eating bear meat that is not properly cooked. Depending where the bear came from, the trichinosis may be cold resistant, and won't...

    Re: BIG XII > B1G

Your first paragraph is dead on. And your first paragraph is also the reason that Delaney will be doing everything in his power, above board or below board, to somehow expand the Big Ten footprint...
  20. Re: ***Official Iowa State @ Iowa Post-Game Thread***

Great win! It was awesome to see the team not get down after the happenings at the end of the first half. Hopefully they can continue to strengthen that kind of mentality. Make some plays...win...
