  1. Re: Vikings RB Adrian Peterson indicted on Child Injury charge

Spanking a child or not as a form of discipline is a philosophical argument; it works for some parents and not for others. And it's a moot point here anyway. What Peterson did wasn't a spanking;...

    http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/09/16/nike-pulls-adrian-peterson-merchandise-from-twin-cities-stores/

Peterson, the Vikings and the NFL are losing the PR battle in a major way right now....
  3. Re: Vikings RB Adrian Peterson indicted on Child Injury charge

The kid is four years old. It was a stick. It wasn't a spanking, it was a beating of someone who couldn't possibly defend himself. And whether Peterson intended the damage he inflicted or not does...

    Re: He has 4 OWI's....

That's one word for it. I was thinking more along the lines of terrifying or disturbing. It's a miracle he hasn't killed anyone.

    Re: 2014 FANTASY FOOTBALL THREAD

Unfortunately I don't. My lineup is:

    Stafford
    Marshall
    Michael Floyd
    Alfred Morris
Sproles, Rashad Jennings, Khiry Robinson, or Knile Davis at the other RB spot
    Graham
    Julius Thomas

    Re: 2014 FANTASY FOOTBALL THREAD

2-0 after two weeks. I'm just going to start plugging in Darren Sproles as a weekly play for now instead of dealing for an RB1. Chip Kelly is consistently finding ways to match him up with a...

B-O-O-H-O-O. Don't like it? Try getting a stop on defense.

Re: ***Official Week 2 NFL Thread***

Richardson looms pretty good tonight. He'll never live up the trade but it's nice to see him getting to the second level and dishing out a little punishment.

This has the makings of a track meet. Could be a very high scoring game.

Re: Granland article on Cy-Hawk game

Bonus mention of the game from another Grantland column.

    Re: 2014 FANTASY FOOTBALL THREAD

Mark Ingram will miss about a month with a broken hand. If you're desperate for help at RB then Khiry Robinson might be a solid pickup. He'll take over as the lead back and get most of the goal...

Re: Leading Rusher Through 3 Games

I'm not too worried about it as long as he isn't absorbing a ton of punishment in the process. My main concern is being able to run the ball effectively when they need to, and they haven't shown it...

    Re: 2014 FANTASY FOOTBALL THREAD

I went TE/RB my first two rounds - Graham and Alfred Morris. I was a little nervous about Morris but it looks like he's not losing any opportunities to Helu Jr. and with Cousins at QB thyey're going...

I did the same and went with Victor Cruz. Thankfully Houston's defense and Jimmy Graham came up huge. I'm up 19 with all my players done...gotta sweat out the Colts game tonight and hope T.Y....

One game is a pretty small sample size. It's usually 4-6 weeks in before I can start to get a good feel for who the good and bad teams are.

    Re: 2014 FANTASY FOOTBALL THREAD

Word out of Cincinatti is that AJ Green has turf toe and he aggravated it today. With Marvin Jones out for at least a couple more weeks Mohamed Sanu might be a good pickup. Just got him in a 12...

    Re: targeting penalty

It's kind of ironic that he was ejected for targeting when I don't think he had any idea what he was going to hit. If he keeps his head up so he could see what he was hitting then maybe he avoids...
