    Re: Rhoads' Contract

I'm not defending the guy. I'm skeptical. More than skeptical. I was poking fun at his contract. However, he does have three bowl appearances in five years and some of the biggest upsets in school...

    Re: Rhoads' Contract

Money earmarked directly for athletics... not general university programs is what I should have said. Talking about something that generates 2% of the budget... now that's silly.

    Re: Rhoads' Contract

The SEZ will be done by the home opener next year. I think sales will actually increase in 2015. 2016 could be an entirely different story if he doesn't get this turned around. If he doesn't, a...

Last year set a school record. This year is the second highest total in school history. Pretty remarkable, really.

    Re: Rhoads' Contract

I thought it was the same for the general public but student ticket sales were higher. Don't quote me on that. I know it's awfully close either direction.

I was also told that the Reiman's are...

    Re: Rhoads' Contract

There's no evidence ticket sales are going anywhere but up. That's what makes this fan-base and university so great. Remember, there is a large section of the fans who don't live and die with every...

    Re: Rhoads' Contract

Student fees account for a little more than 2% of the athletic department revenues. It's coming from the students... I really don't consider that originating from the university.

    Re: Rhoads' Contract

Not that easy. The athletic department is basically breaking even. It's also self-supportive and receives no funding from the university. It's like any other business trying to survive. They can't...

    Re: Rhoads' Contract

From what I remember, it was only rumors and speculation. Nothing was substantiated. The whispers were probably coming from Rhoads. No way Wisconsin hires a coach with a losing record with the...

    Rhoads' Contract

This thing is looking worse by the week. I'm assuming Pollard is losing sleep over this albatross.

    A few details:

    - ~$500k/year raise beginning in 2012. That's $1.5+ million additional pay for...

    Re: You're the AD...

You've somehow managed 202 "Thumbs Up" for your comments. That's more unbelievable than anything that happened on the field Saturday. I'm sure you're better positioned to make playing-time decisions...

    Re: Mangino's offense

Despite this board's infatuation with Richardson, he is not the answer. Everyone, including myself, wants to think he is. There's always an excuse for his substandard play. He locks in on one...

    Re: Trey Scott leaving AllCyclones

No one broke ISU recruiting news... especially on the football side, like he did. No one came close. So yeah, it is kind of a big deal if you follow that type of thing.

    Re: Trey Scott leaving AllCyclones

I'm not knocking CW. For me, they were kind of the yin and yang of ISU reporting. I haven't read a Randy Peterson story in at least three years.

    Re: Trey Scott leaving AllCyclones

He's involved in a number of different things. I think Cyclonereport.com is more a less a hobby for him. Yahoo/Rivals should have handed over their site to Trey. He would have been the perfect hire.

    Re: Trey Scott leaving AllCyclones

One broke ISU recruiting news (second to none in my opinion) and the other does mainly general content reporting. There will be a large void on the recruiting front with him leaving.

    Re: Tom Herman

It's funny how a few years away from the program turns a guy who many on here thought was a terrible playcaller and couldn't develop QB's into a cult hero. Selective memory runs rampant on this board.

Re: Denver Johnson Commits to Iowa State

A disappointing season last year plus adding six new assistants somehow has us in position to land our best class in years. Rhoads deserves a lot of credit for selling this program over the winter...

Re: PODCAST: In-depth on Big 12 football

I'm looking forward to it. Every company should look for ways to improve. No one is perfect. ESPN spends tens of millions of dollars every year on market research... and they're the undisputed "king"...
