  1. Re: Release: SCHEMATIC DESIGNS FOR SOUTH END ZONE PROJECT RELEASED

I really think that if they somehow got a huge donation, the whole Hilton thing would move forward. I think that if the money were there, they would build that practice facility (and move VB and...
  2. Re: Release: SCHEMATIC DESIGNS FOR SOUTH END ZONE PROJECT RELEASED

I think that they will do it someday. Just bowl in the lower level in front of the Jacobson. Maybe go up a little higher on either side of the Jake. Might need a large retaining wall for each of...

Re: Lazard Ranked as 2nd Best Big12 Freshman by ESPN

Here's my guess at his stats:

15 catches, 125 yards and 2 TDs. I think that he's going to be a decoy and run mostly short routes. Not that I agree with using him this way...just seems like...

Re: QB decision to come on Monday

Guess I would consider Reesing more of a scrambling QB than a running QB. He seemed to move around in the pocket and make plays, but I don't remember him tucking it and running a bunch.

Re: QB decision to come on Monday

I agree. Listening to those two guys, you'd think that ISU would be lucky to win one game this season. I don't need blatant homerism, but good God, at least give ISU the benefit of the doubt.

Brilliant? Just more SEC nut gargling.

    Re: Leath

There are still going to be parties in the spring for sure. Some will be big and some will get out of hand and get busted. But, with no set VEISHEA, all of those parties aren't focused on one week....
  8. Re: Any guesses as to how the new "power 5" conference rules will impact ISU?

I think that it is ridiculous that anyone actually thinks that schools will be able to pay FB or MBB players more than non revenue sport athletes. Maybe they'll get something extra for use of...

Yeah, that really sucks how he has grown enrollment, research dollars and is planning on nearly tripling the size of the research park. Kind of what he is SUPPOSED to be doing?? I can't believe how...

    Re: Loth is done

Lalk IS a capable backup. I remember Bruns saying that he graded out very well in the iowa game before he too got injured. Takes a little depth away from OG, but they do have Taiese and Lalk can...

    Re: TMNT

I thought it was pretty entertaining. The turtles and especially Splinter looked a little creepy, but other than that, it was good. Kids will love it. Didn't think it was nearly as good as...

    Re: Iowa State Scrimmage 8/9

They'll likely hand out a roster with the rules on it. They pretty much don't want anything to get out or they will limit who can attend even further.

Just a guess, but I think that Severs would have eventually beaten Loth out too.

Re: Denver Johnson Commits to Iowa State

IMO, there's a big distinction here. If ISU offers a 4 star kid with a bunch of offers, that's one thing. If that same kid is visiting, that's a whole different ball game. Get a kid on campus and...

I think that the culture of drinking is the biggest problem and that is nearly impossible to stop. If you stop nighttime activities, there are still going to be huge house parties a kids from around...

    Re: RIP, Veishea

Yeah, I can see it impacting donations in that certain alumni will not be on campus every spring. Maybe there's some loss of connection to ISU in that regard. But as far as most alumni stopping...

    Re: RIP, Veishea

I don't know... It's easy to say "get to the root of the problem". Well, the root of the problem is alcohol and a "tradition" of riots. How do you change that? If you have VEISHEA, people are...

Totally agree. I don't think that Leath really had a choice. I LOVED VEISHEA. As a student, I loved the big parties and getting trashed all week. Loved that we had tons of friends coming into...

Re: Camp Insider: Will Wimberly return kicks?

I don't know that I'd put Wimberly OR Nealy back there. Maybe spot duty a time or two a game, but not every kickoff. I'd go with Jarvis West and then someone a little bigger that can be a lead...
