  1. Re: A Radical Realignment Plan for College Football

The other reason it would be a nightmare for college sports: You think football money is out of control and corrupting universities now? Just watch what happens if teams have to worry about losing...
  2. Re: A Radical Realignment Plan for College Football

I wonder though, if any sort of powerhouse outside of the 65 would end up being viewed like NDSU is viewed today: dominant in a lower level, but not an equal to the big boys.

Re: Dick Vitale on the Mayor & ISU

Dick Vitale is not a writer and I'm sure he wouldn't claim to be. I don't understand why ESPN has him write a column for the website, I'm sure it's an afterthought for him.

    Re: Frat vs. Dorms

Haven't read through this thread yet, but has somebody bothered to ask why this kid's parent is soliciting opinions instead of the kid doing his own research and making his own opinion?

    Re: tOSU Marching band...holy crap

I get that, but depending on the ages involved, still possibly gross.

    Re: tOSU Marching band...holy crap

Did you read the actual report? Like cyhiphopp said, it's not like none of these things ever happened at ISU, but there are definitely things that are way over the top documented there.

    I also...

    Re: tOSU Marching band...holy crap

Any group of 300+ college kids is going to have some questionable decision making, but that is above and beyond.

  10. Re: A Radical Realignment Plan for College Football

I would actually say if you want to bump that up to .02% feasible you need to eliminate any plans that would allow for teams outside of those 65 to crash the party. There is no way in hell the...

    Re: Attention Nerds:

Let's just all make peace with the fact that whatever any of us do in our spare time is probably stupid as hell and lay off people doing what makes them happy. That's all I'm getting at.

    Re: Attention Nerds:

Yea, those silly nerds making costumes and pretending to be somebody else. Now lets all get back to obsessively following the whims recruited HS kids and prepping to draft fantasy rosters. That's...
  13. Re: A Radical Realignment Plan for College Football

It's a dumb model, but if you read the combination of factors they used to rank teams the clusters at least make internal logic.
  14. Re: A Radical Realignment Plan for College Football

Yea a relegation model seems like a good way to handle a sport with as many teams as college football and then you realize how much rosters fluctuate compared to pro sports clubs and that whole...

    NBA: Re: *** Official 2014 NBA Off-Season Thread ***

The other thing I think spiker is missing: If this love trade goes through that roster is going to end up pretty thin next year. Guys like Allen and Miller could still end up playing quite a bit.

    NBA: Re: *** Official 2014 NBA Off-Season Thread ***

How old/beat-up is Mike Miller at this point? He didn't play huge minutes for the Heat in 2012-13, but he still has to be considered a big part of them winning that title. This aren't young kids...

I don't know. With smart phones and all that I think SportsCenter is pretty close to "old school" these days.

You don't type Rhoads enough for your phone to have learned it by now?
  20. Re: Melvin Ejim is Headed Overseas to Play in Rome

As far as Plan B's go, getting paid a large sum of money to play basketball and live in Rome for a year is pretty good.
