Kingland Systems just announced it. Located at corner of Welch and Lincolnway. Size of store - 14,000 sq. feet. (Sorry - just saw this in the other thread. Feel free to merge).

Re: Art Briles calls Mark Mangino a "stud"

Mangino's just a coordinator - if he leaves, CPR will just get another one. After all, we'll still have our head coach, right?
  3. Re: ***OFFICIAL OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP DISCUSSION***

Agree - maybe more "depth" today, but no Watsons, Palmers, or Trevinos like Jack had to beat to get his majors.
  4. Re: ***OFFICIAL OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP DISCUSSION***

Agree! People forget that Nicklaus also had 19 runner-up finishes in the majors - he could have easily had more than 18 titles...
  5. Re: What 3 Questions Would you Ask PR at Big 12 Media Days

No, fans' "attitudes" have no relevance to how the team performs. Everyone has a right to their own opinion about CPR, but if some are pessimistic, that matters not one bit. All that matters is...
  6. Re: Sage via Twitter: "Exciting news from ISU today"

Expert analysis on radio (Bruns) and TV (Sage) done by two Mac guys. That's great!

Re: Task Force Recommendation for VEISHEA

Just have to point out that Veishea was not just fraternities and sororities in my days at ISU (79-83); residence halls were very involved. Yes, that has all changed.

Re: Task Force Recommendation for VEISHEA

Anyone with a qualified perspective can tell the difference. Were you "involved" while at ISU, or were you an off-campus student who just went to class? Just curious, because as a greek, we were...

Re: Task Force Recommendation for VEISHEA

That's a pretty big statement. When did you attend ISU? I assume it was back in the early 80's, like me, so it would qualify you to compare Veishea participation first-hand as I have...

Re: Task Force Recommendation for VEISHEA

The lack of student participation or interest in VEISHEA activities was an issue I expected the task force to investigate. For example, the parade is a joke compared to what it used to be. No...

Re: Task Force Recommendation for VEISHEA

I just read the task force's "report" in full - what a primitive, academic, superficial document. Even quoted students' tweets such as "if you're not drunk during Veishea, you're doing it wrong" as...

Re: Task Force Recommendation for VEISHEA

Amen. For example - there is a real issue with student participation with VEISHEA compared to two or three decades ago. When I was a student here , there was no TIME to get into trouble around...

Re: Task Force Recommendation for VEISHEA

I agree - what did this "task force" do besides meet periodically and talk around the table?
    1. Did they contact other universities with similar problems and what, if any, solutions were arrived...
  14. Re: Cyclones.tv to televise two football games this fall

Well said - and yes, I'll also be interested in the Texas game viewing stipulations next year. I'll assume we'll play hardball also to "grow the brand."
  15. Re: Cyclones.tv to televise two football games this fall

But isn't this ISU's decision also - to take the paycheck from Texas and agree with this arrangement?

Re: So Who is on JP's list to replace CPR?

Attendance is CPR's real achievement, and no small one at that. Fans like him, and are loyal to him. Maybe he finally has a staff that gets things done.

Re: So Who is on JP's list to replace CPR?

To me, "big games" occur when something is on the line. I don't know that we've ever had a "big game" at ISU with something at stake. Would you classify CPR's win over OSU as a big win? Because it...

Re: So Who is on JP's list to replace CPR?

I agree - and I'm excited about Mangino as well. This is a big year coming off last.
I've increased my Cyclone Club giving since CPR was hired. I've joined the Gridiron Club since CPR was hired....

Re: So Who is on JP's list to replace CPR?

We won three conference games both years - our wins in 2010 (and the close loss to #9 Neb) were more impressive.
Let's distill this a little: last year was the first year that the roster was made...

Re: So Who is on JP's list to replace CPR?

Well, that big Texas win that everyone still talks about came in 2010; Austen Arnaud - by far CPR's best QB (and a Mac recruit) last played in 2010 - we lost to #9 Neb 31-30 in 2010 - yeah, those...
