  1. Re: I received my alumni calendar in the mail today.

I saw the picture for January and smiled, snow and students walking over the bridge over the creek. Reminded me of the sorority chicks wiping out on the hill by the Union in their heels on the ice. ...

    Re: Mowing the Lawn

My kids could always sleep through anything, but then they were always around noise even as babies. My sister was one of those were everyone has to whisper when the kid was sleeping two stories...

    Re: Mowing the Lawn

My husband won't mow before 10:00 am but sometimes has mowed as late as 9:30 pm. We have a huge yard and the only house close enough to hear is occupied by a young couple with no kids.
  6. Re: What's the oldest piece of clothing you own?

I have my uncle's Navy pea coat from 1943. Still occasionally put on the 28 year old wedding dress on the anniversary.

    Re: Jack Bauer coming back

I suppose Jack needed Audrey's tool of a husband to get in, but he conveniently killed that Russian dude that would be a star witness in his treason trial and they really needed to get some intel out...

Re: Well I am officially old now...

Maybe they just assumed you were the one with the triangle eyes?

You aren't old until you get up to go to the bathroom, get distracted, and forget why you got up. I'm there.

  13. Re: Now that we know the secret time of the Iowa game

I used to think that until the freezing night game with Kansas last year. At least late season, I will take 11 AM over that. Weather too big of a crap shoot, although that Okie State game was late...

Re: Friday OT - Your "Meh" Sports

Me too, but then I played it and my kids went to State in it so I have watched a lot of it. The strategies, angles, spins, are all fascinating to me.

    Re: Gift for the Groom???

Not sure what you want to spend. Something like a watch or maybe something he can take his wife to with a gift card, restaurant, nice hotel, movies, etc.?

Re: Friday OT - Your "Meh" Sports

Pretty much the ones others are saying, NASCAR, hockey, and soccer. I am interested in at least a few World Cup games and playoff hockey is better because they don't have the silly fights, which...

  20. Re: Cy-Hawk locker room thief was former Iowa student with no connection to ISU
