Re: McKay not traveling to OSU

You could be right but I saw none of that last year or earlier this year, and I'd say it's more likely that he's let the frustration from the injury completely screw him up mentally. That's just a...

Re: Former Oregon State qb now a Cyclone

Don't forget the Frankl kid from Ames is walking on, though he's coming off an injury.

    Re: Future of the D-Line

The staff is both impressive and entertaining. All of them spoke at the recruiting party last night and introduced some of the new players. Golesh is the perfect recruiting coordinator, funny and...

    Re: Future of the D-Line

Watching the video on these new d-lineman last night reminded me of the kind of guys we usually play against and wish we had, and these kids are still in high school. The Minnesota kid (Johnson?)...
  6. Re: RECRUITING: In-state kicker, preferred walk-on

Probably has something to do with a lot of coaches and fans not considering kickers to be real football players like the rest of the position players, and a lot of times you can get away with getting...

Re: Videos of recruits picking Iowa State hats.

Lovin it. Sounds like a great kid and very dedicated to ISU and CMC.

    Re: Burton's minutes

Agree most of the time but last night he was even making some good things happen on defense, like steals, blocks, and knocking the ball loose. He's been getting more consistent lately and when he's...
  9. Re: RECRUITING: In-state kicker, preferred walk-on

That's impressive. Maybe CMC got the right guy.
  10. Re: RECRUITING: In-state kicker, preferred walk-on

Shame on him. I liked the Ankeny kicker better anyway.:spinny:
  11. Re: RECRUITING: In-state kicker, preferred walk-on

We know he's got a good kicking coach who has sent a lot of kickers to P-5 schools, so a nice addition as a walk-on. Wonder what Shudak is doing.

    Re: tasty CMC anecdote

I think both CPR and JP are good at selling hope and we went into this season with high hopes based on a more favorable schedule and a lot of returning key players. And the upgrades have no doubt...

Re: "Mystery" JUCO QB is Jacob Park

Nice, but it should be called a Cyclone Siren.

    Re: tasty CMC anecdote

Agree with a lot of what you've said, and JP will get a lot of credit if CSP and CMC work out, as he gets a lot of the blame when his hires don't work out. I do think there are a lot of athletic...

    Re: tasty CMC anecdote

True. If Toledo could beat Arkansas they could certainly beat us, although not lining our kicker up in the middle of the field likely cost us that game.

Re: "Mystery" JUCO QB is Jacob Park

Agree. We know he's got a strong arm, size and speed, and that's a good place to start. Could be a good but forgotten qb just waiting to get his opportunity and CMC was at the right place at the...

    Re: tasty CMC anecdote

Gives me hope that even with good success, he may love it here and want to stay. It was the great fan support that got him here and great fan support could help keep him here if he's a hot prospect...

Re: "Mystery" JUCO QB is Jacob Park

Not including the last game (when the whole team appeared to just want to get the season over) I thought Lanning played better than expected considering he got hardly any snaps at qb before being...

    Re: 2018 Recruit

That's a good highlight tape for a senior, and worthy of an offer right now. He scoots and cuts so much like his Dad it's hilarious. What a future that kid has, and what a great story it would make...

    Re: Weekend summary...

Agree. Our history with d-coordinators with no head coaching experience wasn't good and hiring two more after DMac didn't make much sense when there were good head coaches like Kelly out there. ...
