    Re: The Expanse on SyFy

Awesome, I'd recommend reading all 5 that are out now. Great series. I'm looking forward to the next one.

    Re: The Expanse on SyFy

Just a heads up for your reading... just in case you aren't wanting to read ahead. From my memory, the first season covered about 2/3 of the first book.

Awesome. There is also an NFL player who was arguing like that about how there was no such thing as dinosaurs. He'd never seen one.

Re: Games of Thrones Book Thread (With Spoilers)

My guess is John survives or is ressurected, ends up leaving the Night's Watch, and leads the Wildings and the rest of the north to kick some Bolton ***!. Then the traitors at the Nights Watch are...

Re: Another Line Commit, per Coach Campbell

Nice. With all the recent visits I'd forgotten about Forbes.

If I was them, I would laugh at you for gloating about recruiting rankings after we went 3-9 and they went to the Rose Bowl.

    Re: OT: Oscar nominations

Translation: He has different tastes in movies than other posters because he is smarter than them.

Of course, that education in analytical thinking didn't stop him from complaining about too...

    Re: OT: Oscar nominations

Yes, again, those were actual stunts. The movie had very little CGI, especially for an action move at that scale. Your complaints about CGI are misplaced.

I am sad your education as an analytic...

Re: OT: Making A Murderer on Netflix

Agree completely, I never understood why people thought that either. The garage is more valid, and there are certainly many possibilities there... but I personally don't think the version of events...

    Re: OT: Oscar nominations

Mad Max was probably my favorite movie I saw in theatres this year, that and Star Wars. Fury Road was an incredible piece of filmmaking and a blast to watch, but I'd be shocked if it won (I'm amazed...

Re: OT: Making A Murderer on Netflix

When I saw posts indicating that people believed the story that there must be blood splattered on the gun for it to be the murder weapon, I pointed out that it was a .22. Several posters were not...

Re: OT: Making A Murderer on Netflix

Well you did ask me if he kicked my dog or something, didn't you? Of course, in reality Avery was more likely to douse my dog in gasoline and light it on fire then to kick it. Anyway, my post about...

Bolded point - I haven't done that. However, I have pointed out some cases where you guys took the defense version as absolute gospel and pointed out the gaps (e.g. there must be blood splattered...

    Re: The Expanse on SyFy

5 and 6 were definitely a little slower, but had some good character building. Still good TV. They are certainly slowing the pace of the books, it's almost the opposite of Game of Thrones where...
