Re: Premier League Thread
Could have been 4-0 if WBA hadn't missed the penalty. But as soon as Agger got sent-off for Liverpool it was all over.
How will they turn this around? Summer signing's have been pretty poor and paid over the odd's

Sunderland needed to get off to a positive start to the season and 1 point is way better than 0. Sunderland played a smart game against a team that had more offensive power.

And personally I don't think the straight 4-3-3 is the best formation for Liverpool's current squad. I'm not yet a believer in Borini or Allen, would of liked to have kept Bellamy and Maxi (think he should of seen more playing time) and would really like to see the youngster Sterling off the bench. I don't know what to do about Carroll either. I don't know what the deal is with Adam either. Had 6 assists last year but his goal scoring was nowhere to be found.
That's a lot of transfers with only Suarez to show for it.

Re: Premier League Thread
Yes Allen and Borini are not the kind of signing's Liverpool should be making unless they are happy with mid table finishes. Charlie Adam might be one of the laziest Liverpool players EVER. has the tekkers but has no heart to get around the field, I know the majority of Liverpool fans back home are sick of him and were hoping for a replacement but let's face it Allen is not the guy.
Maxi was a top player but for some reason the manager never took to him.

Been a huge Fulham Fan ever since Eddie Lewis signed with the club 1999-2000. Watched the match on Fox Soccer 2 go this morning and couldn't have been prouder. Love the Mladen Petric signing very good striker. Also thoroughly enjoyed the "Are You Watching Clint Dempsey" song.
Top of the table for Fulham this evening F all of you ArsenHole and Liverdrool fans........

Couldn't stand the fans of the other big squads so they were it. Luckily for me it was that year they were promoted.

Re: Premier League Thread
Fox Sports World was around in 1997 here in the states mate (Fox Sports World became Fox Soccer in 2005) maybe I couldn't get live matches but they had replays thru the week. Also Setanta sports showed Championship football.
Just cause u were late to the party doesn't mean you have to question me

Re: Premier League Thread
Via the web I'd say I have been able to watch every Fulham match live since 2004-2005, before that from 2002-2004 it was 75-80% of matches. Before that it was a lot tougher

Top of the table for Fulham this evening F all of you ArsenHole and Liverdrool fans........ How did Ruiz look? I really hope last season was a case of him adjusting to Premier League play and that he can hit the ground running this season. I agree that the Petric signing could turn out to be a good get by Jol - the fact that it was a free transfer just makes it even better. I really like the little I saw of Kacaniklic last season & it looks like he had a nice match today.
The Dempsey saga is unfortunate. I understand his desire to play for a CL side, but I'm not sure what the deal is now that the only interest seems to be coming from clubs like Liverpool and Everton. They're not any closer to the CL than Fulham really, so why not play out your final year in SW6 and go where you want next summer? I'm starting to wonder if this whole situation has been set up by Jol & to try to get what they can for Dempsey now.

Ruiz also created the corner that Petric scored his first from. Fulham played 4-5-1 today with a cantral 3 of Ruiz, Diarra and Dembele and all 3 bossed the center of the park. Petric was great up top. Not only did he score 2, but had a brilliant back heel flick that sprung Kacaniklic for a goal. Duff and Kacaniklic were very good on the wings. Hugo Rodallega and Patjim Kasami got 15-20 mins late in the match and looked good as well. Rodallega drew a pen that Sidwell put home for 5. Reither was another Jol signing this summer that we started at RB today and he played very well.
I like you was very impressed with the young players Jol brought in last year. Kacaniklic, Kasami and Kerim Frei (Frei wasn't in the squad today which suprised me, but he is an explosive winger)
