Harry Taylor is the first Cub known to wear #19. Harry wore the number for a single season in 1932.

Taylor shared the number with pitcher Jakie May during the 1932 season.

I almost think Maddon is daring Hendricks to win with some of his lineup choices.
But the guys are talented enough to keep pulling it off. I suppose the manager isn't too bad, either.

Thought that I would comment on the "19" pic. I am pretty sure that picture is from Catalina Island in Ca. The Wrigley family once owned that island and the Cubs had spring training there. Just one of the bizarre things in the Cub history books.
The Cubs trained there from 1921-1941 and 1946-1951 according to Wiki.
