"Researchers at Granada University in Spain say that beer beats water when it comes to hydration. "
I am very confused.
Besides being mainly water beer has a lot of vitamins, minerals, as well as electrolytes. It's basically like drinking a supercharged gatorade. I read an article once that Lance Armstrong usually drinks a beer or two after training to re-hydrate. The carbonation in the beer also helps. It does contain alcohol, which is a diuretic, but its benefits outweigh its disadvantages.
