They need Jericho to come back and be a heel.
"Sports Entertainment" exists in a bizarre place somewhere south of "reality" TV.
I'm hoping for a comeback from Roller Derby.
Anyone know why they are pimping all these big names as going after the Heavyweight?? No one is talking about going after the WWE championship which I thought was the "biggest" belt.
Heck, his gimmick is basically that he's over with the crowd. His gimmick of being over with the crowd is so over with the crowd that they can't abandon his gimmick. It's so freakin' weird.
Seems like the last month they've killed the charisma guys. Bryant's a bad guy now...Dolph wasn't a great performer but his charisma and attitude had such a wittiness to it that made him so fun.
This is about the opposite of true.... Dolph's always been a top-knotch performer. He takes a hit like no one's business, and can sell a wet noodle like it was a Macho Man Elbow. He's a pretty phenomenal wrestler who's always had a charisma problem. This is the reason you saw him paired with Vicki for so long, then immediately jumping to being paired with AJ Lee. His character is supposed to be a show off, and he has plenty of in-ring charisma, but man, once he's on the microphone, things start to become a train wreck. He can't promo his way out of a wet paper sack.
I think one of the major problems with the WWE is that they aren't using the talent that they've got to the utmost. Show was awesome for a while, and Batista will get the nostalgia crowd back. But with guys like Damien Sandow barely seeing the air any more, and guys like Leo Kruger, Adrien Neville, and El Generico stuck in development (because of their time in the indies, see above with DB), and guys like Chris Hero getting released because of his "weight issues," you're selling out your today and tomorrow for yesterday. And while guys like the Shield and The Wyatts are getting pushed, that's a recent thing, and it's not enough. Not nearly.
One of these days, Show will be gone, Orton will fail his final wellness test, HHH wont be able to go in the ring, and Cena will be Hogan-like in his corpse-shambling wrestling style, and you'll be left with a stable of guys who are either unknown to the masses, or who have been so devalued by their time being the beaten-up under card to Cena and HHH, like Sandow and Dolph, that you'll never be able to sell them as top of the pack.
Found this on the belt:
My guess is they will split the championship belts out again sooner than later. Seems like it kills a lot of story lines.
I imagine they will relegate one of the belts to being like the old United States Championship belt or the TV Title. Just so one is purely the best one to have.
I discovered last night that it is rumored again that Sting is going to come to WWE for a Wrestlemania appearance vs. Undertaker. That gave me enough inspiration to watch TNA and see Sting lose the contract match, feeding the rumor that he will finally make the move.
That would be interesting and pretty cool to finally see, but due to his age, it doesn't help the roster out much.
Yeah it's fun to watch the old guys come back. However, sting was never really away. He is to old but a one time wreslemania moment would be cool to see him in.
