I asked for, and was given the number of, a known Iowa grad and Hawkeye fan. And I intend to ask her out.
I beg for forgiveness, for I have sinned.
Since my dating life over the past couple of years has been a rich full tapestry of failures, both humorous and sad, I have decided I need to make a change in the women I chose to court. So I have strayed where I never thought I would go, and am going after a Hawk lawyer. True to form, she's not from Iowa, she's from Pittsburgh, PA and is NOT a Penn State fan.
Though I would greatly welcome more dates with the corrections officer I went out with Wednesday. Yowza. Doubtful.
I am married to a Iowa grad and have fully converted not only her, but am close to converting her parents who were Iowa fans before they met me.
I confess, I had a long relationship with a Hawkeye woman - and her ex-hubby was once a captain on a Hayden Fry team... needless to say, although she was hot, her loyalty to the Hawks got to be pretty annoying.
Your user name is appropriate. If this relationship becomes permanent you will regret it. There will always be a bone of contention and a seething anger lingering within both of you. The differences in perspective will dumbfound you.
I have observed just such a marriage up close-they had season football tickets in the row in front of us with their children. The children were messed up and torn between two opposing fans. Obviously they would go through life without a clear sense of identity. The husband and wife had resorted to alcohol to try to get along and numb the pain of being unequally yoked together. They fought constantly and bitterly. The whole scene was one of dysfunctionality. Good luck!
