We were gassed after making the run to get up by 18. It was obvious from our body language we needed a timeout. That's my only beef with Fred is he waits too long to yank a guy when he is clearly tired (Niang).
I hate our body language when we are not playing well. I think we've reached our ceiling as opposed to the last two seasons when we were still improving in February and March. That's not necessarily a bad thing as our ceiling is probably good enough to give us a chance at the sweet 16. With luck, maybe further.
On the other hand, we have two guys (Morris and Thomas) that are clearly still trending upward on the season. So as soon as they and their improved play are fully brought into play I think we can still be better. Eg. Morris needs to run the point in crunch time and when things need to be brought back under control

Wut? Was something said? And was this ever really in doubt?
And I finally learned how to multi-quote. I've failed multiple times.
It was great to see Naz Long breakout for four threes and 14 total points. However, the team shot 31 percent for the game, which is exactly at our league-worst average. One thing we haven't seen from this year's team that we've seen the past two years is a game where the team is on fire from behind the arc, like the game at Oklahoma in 2012 and the game in Hilton against Kansas in 2013, when we set the school record for most made threes.
Lot of good today too. Never want to feel bad after a win. Tech is much much better than when we played them before. ISU played a lot of good defense which was great to see. Guys are tired and we are in the grind part of the schedule now. Everything else is correctable. Also just good to come back and not play awful again. We good, just need to keep grinding out wins.
