The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again. Oh... people will come Ray. People will most definitely come.
Why would we want him to hang around another year?
Cuz he is a smart quality basketball player. Although you do have a point, especially since we are bringing in the likes of Monte Morris and Matt Thomas, and hopefully our recruiting will continue to attract top guys.
Even if he had a redshirt still available, I really wouldn't see the point, as far as the team goes. Maybe for him personally, it would be nice.....but..... His value to the team is the rest of this year, spelling KL at point, and Babb as a defender for a few minutes, plus keeping Will out of the awkardness of playing the point. Next year, it will be great to have him available to help Naz and Monte develop, and to help with the transmission of Jones. I'm not sure what you do with 4 point guards, but maybe one or more will play some 2 next year also, or will be in on 3 guard sets.
-Be kind. That is something you will never regret. You will never say to yourself when you are old "I wish I was not good to that person".
