Yeah, Naz is OK, even if he barley played last year. The man has hops, and he's skillfully brewed all his talents into a successful mixture.

Venting here but this put me over the top. ENOUGH ALREADY. Football and basketball have nothing to do with each other. Just be happy with a big win in basketball. Why feel the need to make a negative out of a great day?

    Rant over.

Sorry Wesley. Wrong place, wrong time for you.

Quick rant here: Don't be sorry for being right. The two are separate, and people should be able to sort that out on their own. If they aren't, there's no need to be sorry for calling them out.

Don't apologize. This **** has been annoying today. Football negativity has crept into multiple basketball threads and Wesley has been a part of that.

don't see why they would take him out of the starting lineup over matt Thomas. think he has earned the start. but fred knows what hes doing.

Naz and Tyrus have similar personalities. Both talk a lot and are well-liked by their teammates. I can see how the Naz/6th man role could really work. He's a spark out there. Solid defender. That's my guess as to what will happen. Just a guess though.

Why does it seem like Fred is always knocking Naz's shot? He only seems to focus on defensive expectations.

I think I agree, I see Kane-Thomas-Hogue-Ejim-Niang as our eventual starting lineup, with Long as the first off the bench. But I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Long rack up more minutes than Thomas.

I see your point, but I don't think it's a big deal. I think we have 7 guys that are going to get the lions share of the minutes. Matt and Monte looked and played like very talented FRESHMEN :wideeyed: today, so I can't wait to watch them get past their "nervous" games and just ball.

Oh, and I love me some 3sus!!!

I didn't get that from Fred's comments at all.

Yeah he was kidding around. He compared Naz to Tyrus McGee for crying out loud. That's a compliment if you ask me.

“Then he did his best Tyrus (McGee) impression on that next one and missed the basket by six-feet."

Really noticed Naz communicating during dead balls tonight. Really seemed to be making sure people would be in the rights places. He is the front runner for most pleasant surprise. Only a sophomore.
