I am not sure if this has been posted elsewhere, but here is the column that Royce keeps talking about on Twitter.
    http://sports.yahoo.com/news/nba--royce-white-s-battle-with-rockets-over-aniexty-disorder-could-cost-him-nba-career-16011709.html

This guy (according to Royce) may have some of the details a little wrong, or maybe he doesn't, but I think the overall gist of what he is saying is correct: Royce is not in a position yet in the NBA to really try and use this as a platform for treatment of anxiety issues like his. It would be a much more powerful message if he would first show what he can contribute to an NBA team. All he is really doing now is validating all of those who were not willing to take a chance on him in the first place because of his condition. I don't understand why he can't see that.

It's not easy to wage a PR campaign on twitter, when by all outside appearances, you appear wrong and misguided.

I can't support this anymore. I had to unfollow Royce. I can't watch the reckless self-destruction. Frankly if I were the Rockets I'd be tempted to cut my losses and cut Royce loose at this point.

I also unfollowed Royce on Twitter. This whole situation is sad.

I would love to support Royce as he is a former Cyclone, but this is getting out of hand. He is ruining his chances to have ANY kind of pro career. It is 100% right to say he is not in any position to be acting like a diva. I am not down playing the fact that he has anxiety issues, but he isn't being too proactive to make it work for his basketball career. If he spent 1/4 of the energy he does on blasting the Rockets on Twitter on basketball he could be a successful role player in the NBA.

Hopefully he's spending as much time actually addressing his condition as he is waging war on social media about how he is being persecuted.

Alas.... I seriously doubt it. At this point I don't think he's even relevant enough for a "30 for 30"

I can see why some of his teammates last year told me how bad of a teammate he was. Thankful that he won us some games, and I hope he can turn his life around.

Yep, you've said this before. Again, if this were actually true people would have been tripping over their dicks to post about it last year. Not buying it.

How does he think he can bash the Rockets? They took a risk on him and he's making them look horrible.

I don't have any mental health condition, but it seems like he does actually connect with those who do. So what if basketball isn't the most important thing in his life. How many of you would put your job before your family? I know that it's different, but it shows how much he cares about this. If a Cyclone is that passionate about something I will support him. Basketball is just a game and he's chosen to put something above it. Maybe he should give back the money, but we can't ask him to give up what he truly cares about.

I agree with you that one shouldn't put basketball, or anything for that matter, before their family or own mental health but I don't think tweeting negative things directed towards your employer or a sports writer is the proper course of action dealing with any of this.

This guy doesn't just have anxiety. He's bipolar or something. Of course it could be anxiety coupled with clinical asshatery.
