So Chris, you think they are only going to go after transfers? No JUCO players?

No more summer Bubu Cap League talk.....

So when does NCAA rule on McKay for the fall, CW?

If it is the right JuCo, maybe. Problem with JuCo's this time of year is that most are very high-risk. More so than transfers. Not saying it won't happen but I'd lean towards ISU going the transfer route.

That looks fairly accurate based on what we know right now. I'd agree that Matt will compete for that 2 guard spot with Naz.

Crazy to think that there's a possibility McKay (once he's eligible) won't start but I don't see how you move Hogue to the bench either. Great problems to have.

Plus, as many people have stated, we didn't even know the name DeAndre Kane this time last year. We'll see what Fred has up his sleeve again this year.

If I knew that McKay had a full two years, it would be a lot harder for me to keep him out of the top 5.

We'll fill those two spots that are open, this is all premature.

I think it might be 5th year transfer and sit out a year transfer but Fred will fill them.

Is there a chance we see Fred trot out a "big" lineup? Morris, Nader, Hogue, Georges and McKay? Or would this lineup not include enough of a 3 point threat?

I don't know much about Nadar or McKay, other than their highlights I've watched.

Paul Biancardi of ESPN wrote an Insider piece on March 28th:
    http://insider.espn.go.com/blog/ncbrecruiting/on-the-trail/post?id=9374&ex_cid=espnapi_public
    "Recruit and return: Iowa State"

He projected the starters to be:
    Monte Morris
    Matt Thomas
    Dustin Hogue
    Georges Niang
    Percy Gibson

He does note our transfers so either he is low on Abdel Nader, high on Percy Gibson, or doesn't pay attention to all of the details and is projecting this out of this air. I'll go with the third option.

Interesting that he'd put in Percy over Edozie, unlike our coach.

I could see that at times, but I like the idea of Naz as a starter. And Thomas being the Naz of this year

Assuming McKay is eligible immediately how do you think the starting 5 looks?

Not to get ahead of myself but the roster for 2015/2016 will be incredible.
Nader, Niang, McKay, Morris, Thomas, Long, Custer plus some predictable impact transfers and a freshman or two.

No freaking way Percy starts over Nader or Edozie or McKay when he becomes eligible. Not one chance.

I hope we see some improvement in Percy, Edozie and SDW. We could be very deep if these 3 would take their game up another notch.
I think we will see a huge jump for Matt next year. There is numerous things he needs to work on but the talent is there.

That's what I'm going with for the starting line up.
