People suck. If you hate someone so much, leave. Why kill that person and others. It just makes me sick to know that people like this are out there. I hope my kids dont ever see this get worse in their lifetime.

Just saw that..........that is huge news. The instability in Pakistan probably just increased by about 4x. Hopefully calmer heads will prevail.

Hopefully this will make the Pakistan leadership take a long look inside Pakistan, and decide to go after those creating the violence.

That would be nice to see but guessing by what happened I think that bus just left town.

It would be nice for the people of Pakistan to realize how much she cared for the good of her country and wanted it to be a better place. Then they could see that the people responsible for her death are the same ones she had been speaking out about making her land a bad place.

Bhutto was no saint and her administration had its share of corruption. She had also viewed the Taliban as a group that could stabilize Afghanistan.

If the military was behind the assassination, I don't suspect that there will be much information forthcoming.

Obviously someone or some organization considered Bhutto a threat.

There is one presidential candidate that stands out on this particular issue; Bill Richardson. Richardson is calling for a suspension of military aid to Pakistan until Musharref steps aside.

Bhutto target of many militant groups - Yahoo! News

I really think she came back to do the right thing and to try and put a stop to Pakistan being a safe haven for terrorist groups. Or at least she was saying all the right things lately. I heard today that she had made some recent comments to the effect of "I will not be assassinated, Muslim law states you cannot kill a female or you will burn in hell". I wonder how all those suicide bombings that kill without regard are viewed if some females are included in the group of casualties?

I heard on the radio that al Qaeda had claimed responsibility, but who knows, they've done that before and it wasn't the case.

Who is the viable option if he does this, especially with yesterday's events? I'm not sure that elections would go the way we want them to, and could result in radicals in power. That would be a horrible mistake.

Richardson is calling for Musharref to step aside immediately, and for a broad-based coalition government, consisting of all the democratic parties, to be formed. An election would be held "as soon as possible."

I would say this is more "World Events". God help us if we at least cannot agree on that.
