I agree with Cyclone Bob. The article is not "good" it is "GREAT". I learned quite a bit from it I didn't know. Read it twice in fact. The "pay cut" is the most unbelievable thing about the story to me. ISU got a bargain.

My first game was in a crowd of about 500 people. I did wonder about that yellow tape and was it really necessary. But, if they would not have put it up you would have had 500 people spread out in Hilton. I went to see Tara Gunderson, as I had relatives living in Lake Park at the time and they kept telling me how good she was. It was a great game and she did play very well. It was a great article and it should make us realize that having a crowd of 8,000 people on a cold Iowa winter's night is not a bad thing. Congrats to BF and his staff and family.

That first year of the Fennelly era was my first year following the sisters. A buddy invited me to a game because Grimm was one of his students. We literally could walk in and sit behind the bench. That was also when the "power of the pop" tradition started (http://www.cyclones.com/ViewArticle...ID=10700&ATCLID=1414094&SPID=4253&SPSID=46667). The article was like a walk down memory lane. All the trips to the conf tourney in KC, hanging out with the ladies, watching the program grow, etc. Bill has created quite the legacy. If you watch the comments from Sherry Coale in Bill's 500th victory video you understand the respect the man has in the coaching ranks (http://www.cyclones.com/mediaPortal/player.dbml?&db_oem_id=10700&id=104045).
