4th is better than the 7th or 9th that we were predicted the last 2 seasons.

Hard to argue against the top 2. I think we will be in the mix, and that is a great thing when you play in the best conference in the country.

We've come in 3rd twice, and fourth once in the past three years. I'd say 4th is an OK prediction. Keep in mind that has absolutely ZERO bearing on the tourney (either B12 or NCAAs). I could see a fourth place finish in the B12 and a final four run in the tourney. Freddy always seems to have the team playing their best ball in March anyways.

Until we prove everyone that we can dethrone KU, I think that's pretty fair assessment. Pre-season ranking doesn't mean much in college bball. What matters is cutting down the nets in KC and Indianapolis in 2015, not preseason garbage.

4th sounds about right. I think people keep forgetting that this is where we were at last year; our undefeated non-conference schedule and tournament surge made us feel like we were #1.

Sorry, no way anyone should be picking OU over ISU. Niang might potentially be the BIG 12 Pre-Season player of the year as well.

I like everything they said except that the season is all on BDJ. There is enough talent on this team that one guy isn't going to make or break it. And we will not have a UNLV-like season. Hoiberg won't allow it.

Last year, predicted us 4th and that's where we finished. I think this seems right. Until someone actually knocks off Kansas, have to have them first. Texas is known to be loaded and a Top 10 team. Oklahoma and us-take your pick.

I'm biased, but I guess I still like us over OU. We've got more question marks in our starting line-up, but I'd rather have Niang than any of their guys and that should count for something.

I don't think that is crazy. They return pretty much everybody. Not saying that's where I'll have them but I suspect that many people will.

"Returning pretty much everybody" may be an overstatement. They are losing 27 pts per game on offense, which will have to be covered by increased production from either their returners or their four newcomers. Their newcomers are not overly impressive on paper.

I agree 100%. They were pretty accurate outside of the fact that BDJ is going to make or break the season for us.

Clark's the only one that seems like the only to be too worried about replacing.

We lost quite a bit too. ME and Kane averaged almost 35 pts a game between them, over 15 rb's, and almost 8 assts.... That and OU ended with a better record. I could see how other people have us lower on the totem pole than them in these early rankings.

I agree with you. The difference maker in my eyes is that we've got a much stronger group of players coming in than does OU.
