THANK GOODNESS!!! I'm glad we have at least a few people that will listen to the desires of students and the community.

Or at least, that's what they want you to think... :rofl8yi:

j/k. At least they realized that bad weather discourages EVERYONE from coming, not just other students.

Does anyone else find it interesting that they chose the Jewish holiday to schedule over? It makes me wonder what the reaction would be if they had it go the week over Easter.

I think it would be best if they just moved it to the last weekend in April like I remember it being before.

They played the NCAA tourny over the Easter holiday this year so I really don't think its a big deal...It would not make me angry if they held VEISHEA over easter...

From 1982-93, VEISHEA was consistently two weeks before graduation (or, the parade was held just before Dead Week). Of course, graduation then ranged from May 15-21, so VEISHEA was anywhere from May 1-7.

Also, students were given VEISHEA Thursday and Friday off from classes from 1982-89, then Friday only from 1990-93.
