Gathering some info from a Big 12 Roundtable, here's what our Big 12 brethren thinks of us... Bring on the Cats (K State) TB: Have to admit that I really have been somewhat impressed by Iowa State. True, their schedule has probably been worse than K-State's, but they've actually put some points on the board. If they beat Iowa this weekend, I'd have to consider them the surprise of the conference thus far. (Big 12 North) 4. Iowa State (Chizik has improved ISU faster than I thought he would.) Corn Nation (Nebraska) Iowa State @ Iowa
Husker Mike:
Clones have seemed to own the Squawkeyes in recent years. But I'm not sure about this season.
Squawks 27, Clones 24
Corn Blight:
I’m going to reverse that. There’s something about the Cyclones that makes me believe Chizik is making progress while Ferentz’s crew isn’t. A loss to the Clones would be a bad sign for the Hawks.
Cyclones 24, Hawks 23. Rock Chalk Talk (KU) And I all-but-guaranteed that K-State and Iowa State would be 5 and 6 in the Big 12 North this season, a fate that both could still find themselves in. However, both have looked incredibly tough thus far this season, although they have both faced, well, entirely inferior competition. 6) Iowa State (10) -- Simply a victim of the North being a deeper division than the South (and maybe a better division overall), as they don't belong to be 6th in a division. They have played quite well thus far this year, especially in dispatching of Kent State by 20 points on Saturday, a team that beat them fairly easily last year. They are obviously on the upswing, and could be a sleeper in the next couple of years to creep up the North. So yeah, a little respect starting to filter down our way.

That's what happen when one starts to win, and starts to win impressively. Lets keep the ball rolling and help expose the Big Ten this weekend.

I would hope that other teams in the Big 12 would want us to squash the Hawks a Big 10 team. It makes the confernece look awhole lot better and stronger.

It would be sweet to hang 40 on the Hawks tomorrow for a third straight game to start the year, but this game has rarely been that high-scoring.

I remember the early-mid 90's Hayden Fry 56-7 beatdowns of my childhood. Bad memories...
