IMO comment only. Hope this is not the case.
Ivan Maisel of ESPN says Brian "Gene" Kelly. Not sure our recruiting line will be that open the first year and if we do poorly on the field next year, recruiting line for second year might be slow and low. Reason: kids want to talk to Bobby and/or Mike Stoops, Mack Brown, Vcallahan, Ron Prince, Dan Hawkins, Gary Pinkel, Mike Leach, Mike Gundy, Kirk Ferentz, Mark Farley. Kelly will be a total unknown to where we have recruited. Not sure Michigan football has set the world on fire for speed kids. Speed rules in the Big 12, especially on defense versus stodgy oline. Predict a long climb out from the bottom eventually. It will not be overnight for sure. Looks like we will have lower quality talent that will overachieve for next few years until we build a track record of renown. We may be just like Colorado was this year. Glad we have basketball to look forward to. That is just the way it has worked out. Should not cost more than $1.0M a year or otherwise "we was took."
CFH HMagic bball season.
Let my fred's Four Horsemen ride.
I wouldn't be surprised with anyone at this point. Ditka included.
The only reason Ditka would surprise me now is the wife and kids comment. That leads me to believe it's a relatively young coach. Someone with kids in their 20's or older I don't believe would bring them to be introduced at this thing. I think that also takes Price out of the picture.
