Okay, please give us two predictions for this game. 1) your ISU fan-boy/girl score and 2) your $250 on the line score.
1- FanBoy: ISU 38, UofI 24
2 $250 bet: ISU 19, UofI 26 (basically UofI beats the spread, if around under 8 points or so)
The first and best victory is to conquer self; to be conquered by self is of all things most shameful and vile. - Plato
May you only need 39 acres to turn your rig around. - keep
Spread is OFF right now due to Tate status - should be around 10 when it comes out.
1. ISU 27, Iowa 18
2. ISU 27, Iowa 18
I ML this $250 bet due to A) Neither team has shown much so far, and B) ISU seems to get up more for this game in recent years than Iowa does. Tate will be rusty, and our defense will finally start guarding in the secondary.
ISU 10, Iowa 9.
3 20-30 yard fieldgoals by the Hawks.
1 39 yarder by Shaggy.
1 yard TD run on the last play of the game by Koch. Flynn holds on to the ball and kick is good for the win.
A win is a win is a win.
Hawkeyes sit in a puddle at midfield for ten minutes after the game.

Let my fred's Four Horsemen ride.
I think we lose this one.
I say (in my best obnoxious hawk fan impersonation):
There is not one cyclone player that could even walk-on to the Iowa Hawkeye program.
Seriously though, it should be a good game with even matchups at most positions. Turnovers and taking advantage of opportunities will decide the winner.
I hate to say it, but...
This year, the Hawks will definitely be "UP" for the Cyclones. (Why else would they withhold Tate last week?)
Hope I'm wrong...
The game will end up:
This will be a good but sloppy game with the Cyclones prevailing to stop the BCS championship run(again) for the Squakeyes. Go Cyclones!!!

My heart says: ISU 30, iowa 23
My head says: iowa 24, ISU 16.

As an 'Clone Fan: ISU 17, Iowa 14
As a Bettin' man: Iowa 17, ISU 10
...and the betting man is for real. I work in an office full of typically overconfident Hawk fans. I have multiple bets out there which have given me between and 9 and 15 points.
Silly Hawk fans...
we came out flat in out first two games last year also. Army? Illinois State IAA? Then we pounded Iowa. Mac uses the first two games to practice for the rest of the season(i hope). Defense looked better on saturday (and said they were). I don't think the offense will be flat this next saturday.
ISU - 35
Tate gets hurt second quarter Clones pull it off 24-21 with Shaggy hitting the last second field to end the game!!
Fan boy sez 28-21 Clones
Bett'n Man Sez 28-13 Hucks (13 'cause bad snap from long snapper...again)
Fan boy is now beating up Bett'n Man for being a huckeye jerk...
