Paul Rhoads has made a slight change to his coaching staff.

During his pre-spring press conference on Tuesday morning, Rhoads announced thatCourtney Messingham and Luke Wells have swapped positions within the program. Messingham will now be Iowa State's wide receivers coach, while Wells will work with the tight ends.

Messingham, a 20-year coaching veteran, has worked with wide receivers before. He held the same position at Southern Miss during the 2005 and 2006 seasons. He was also the wide receivers coach under former ISU associate head coach Terry Allen at Missouri State in 2008. Messingham is a former head coach at Upper Iowa, in 2003 and 2004.

Wells, a former Oklahoma quarterback, has a history of coaching tight ends. He worked with the position during his time at Louisiana-Monroe in 2004 and 2005.
