The live period heated up in its second weekend with the Iowa State coaching staff watching events such as the Under Armour Summer Jam in Wisconsin, Hoop Group Jam Fest in Pennsylvania, Nike EYBL Peach Jam in Georgia and Best Buy Classic in Minnesota. According to Internet reports, there are eight new known offers now on the table to recruits ranging from 2013 to 2016. Here is a rundown of those new offers:

--- 2013 SF Reggie Cameron is a lethal shooter from anywhere on the court and could be one of the best in the 2013 class, along with current commit Matt Thomas. Cameron already has offers from the likes of UConn, Florida, Rutgers, West Virginia, Xavier and many more along with interest from Michigan, North Carolina and others. He has said he hopes to make a decision towards the beginning of the school year, potentially September after he takes his official visits and narrows his list which may come at any time with the Peach Jam now complete.

--- 2013 SF Kamall Richards now holds offers from a long and growing list of schools including Delaware, Drexel, Florida Atlantic, Florida International, Duquesne, Fordham, Hofstra, Iowa State, James Madison, Marquette, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Rhode Island, St. Joseph’s, Temple and Xavier. Richards was originally a 2012 recruit, however decided in January that he would take a prep year in hopes to improve his game. He has done just that, now being described as a college-ready wing that still has another prep year to improve even more. Richards plans to narrow his list following the live period, take all five of his official visits and make a college decision before the end of the summer.

--- 2013 C Ronnie Stevens of Indian Hills Community College picked up an Iowa State offer last week after his performance at the St. Louis Junior College showcase during the weekend of July 14-15. Stevens is known as a solid defender and shot blocker that guards the paint well. Although Stevens did not start during his freshman campaign at Indian Hills, he obviously showed what he could do at the showcase. Originally from California and being a Hawaii commit, it is likely that Hawaii is still pursuing Stevens hard, however a JUCO big man is always a wanted commodity so there will likely be some competition for his services. In case you are wondering where Hawaii fits in with Indian Hills C.C. in Iowa, head coach Barret Perry is a cousin to Hawaii coach Gib Arnold.

--- 2013 SF Dustin Hogue, also of Indian Hills Community College picked up an offer from Iowa State and Iowa after his performance at the showcase as well. Hogue is also hearing from Missouri, Wichita State, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Missouri with more likely to follow. He averaged 11 points and 5.5 boards per game last year while shooting 50 percent from the field in his first year in the JUCO ranks following his high school career in New York City. If you remember, Chris Williams of Cyclone Fanatic pegged Hogue as one to watch for this July period and it looks like you may want to keep an eye on him even longer.

--- 2014 G Darrell Davis has offers from Iowa State, Iowa and Detroit Mercy with the latter two coming just this past Sunday. Davis' highlight performance last weekend at the UA Summer Jam came on Sunday morning when he tallied up 29 points to push the 16U REACH AAU squad into the semifinals of the gold bracket.

--- 2014 PG Kevin Zabo is a speedy point guard who gets up and down the court and can handle the ball with ease between defenders to get to the rim. While scouts indicate he still needs to work on his outside game, it is improving. Still, the highlight of his play is the ability to drive and dish/shoot with his quick change of pace and overall speed.  Zabo currently has offers from George Washington, Iowa State and West Virginia, but has a lot more interest coming his way.

--- 2015 C Cheick Diallo had an impressive performance at the Nike EYBL Peach Jam, labeled as a strong defender and great off of the glass on both the offensive and defensive ends. Diallo is highly athletic and has great quickness for a big man, often extended his defense well outside the paint against guards according to reports. While lacking a strong inside game at the moment, he has plenty of upside and may become an elite big man for the 2015 class. According to his AAU coach, Diallo picked up offers from Washington, Rutgers, Seton Hall, Arizona, and Iowa State thus far while having Kentucky and West Virginia show interest this weekend.

--- 2016 G Amir Coffey plays with the 15U Minnesota Pump N' Run team and is described as already having an outside shot and great off of the dribble. This is Coffey's first division one offer and he is believe to be the first 2016 player in Minnesota to receive an offer.

--- Another recruit to keep an eye on in 2014 is Justin Tilman of REACH AAU and Detroit Pershing High School (same as Sherron Dorsey-Walker). Tilman put on a great performance at the UA Summer Jam this past weekend and while he currently only holds offers from Detroit and Oakland, a host of schools are now showing interest including Iowa State, Michigan State, Xavier, DePaul, Tennessee and Purdue. Tilman is described as a high IQ player, one that works hard on both ends of the court with great defense and has a strong passing ability a good eyesight on the offensive side as well.

--- Cyclones commit Matt Thomas put on a show this weekend at the UA Summer Jam, In fact, lead scout for Rivals' Eric Bossi called it "one of the more ridiculous shooting displays on the grassroots circuit in sometime." Thomas lit up the net Saturday morning, hitting 9-of-10 from beyond the arc and tallying 28 points of Wisconsin Playmakers' 52 in their win over Atlanta Hawks. Thomas also showed other strengths too for those in attendance, rebounding the ball well and was able to push the ball well from the point position. The Playmakers ended up losing in their second round game Saturday evening. Expect Thomas to continue to climb the rankings in Rivals, likely becoming a Top 100 player at the next release.

--- 2014 big Alec Brennan continued to improve his game with solid outings this weekend, including a 23 point performance in the championship game at the Hoop Group Jam Fest. Brennan received five more offers this weekend per his AAU coach, those being from Seton Hall, St. Bonaventure, Delaware, Providence and Temple in addition to his offers from Iowa State, Rhode Island, Providence, UMass, New Hampshire, Boston, Columbia, Brown, St. Joseph's, Duquesne, Rutgers, Temple and Miami (FL).  Brennan has often indicated that academics will play a large role in his recruitment, which may make him one of the top players in the Ivy League in the future, however he is keeping his options open. Brennan's teammate Abdul-Malik Abu and Jared Terrell also had solid performances, although Terrell sustained an injured ankle early on and did not play for the remainder of the weekend. Abu also was fasting for Ramadan over the weekend, which obviously made him weaker on the court by Sunday.

--- The Best Buy Classic was also attended by the Iowa State staff this weekend, including coach Fred Hoiberg on Saturday. 2014 prospect Reid Travis led the 17U Minnesota Pump N' Run team to a championship win with 20 points in the final and 27 points in the semifinal. Travis was described as "a man amongst boys" at the event after completely several dunks and dominating the inside game against others that are well over a year older. Hoiberg also watched 2015's Jarvis Johnson and Henry Ellenson along with others that may have included Alex Illikainen. Ellenson is expected to receive an offer from Purdue according to a report, which would add to his current offers of Minnesota, Marquette, Iowa State and Georgetown. Ellenson is still on the light-side and needs to continue to grow into his 6-foot-8 height, However, he was described as being able to lead a fast break with the ball on the floor, shoot well beyond the arc, face up when needed and was dominate on the boards.

--- 2013 prospect Hassan Martin also did well this weekend at the Hoop Group Jam Fest, showing off his rebounding skills and more. The main news here is that Martin has eliminated Creighton from his recruitment with the addition of Zach Hanson to the Creighton squad. Rhode Island, Iowa State, Providence and Fordham are currently the leaders according to a report. 2014 prospect Clayton Custer impressed at the Peach Jam, leading the Mo-Kan team to a 4-1 record in pool play and all the way to the semifinals in tournament play.  Custer was described not as an elite athlete, but a player that will always find a way to help his team win.
